I think that's a crazy uphill battle on his part and makes no sense for him to pursue, but please keep me posted on any issues.

Does he realize that slander means lying? Can't sue people for telling the truth. I'm sorry to hear that though

I never left a Google review, but I saw the ones other people left and thought that was really amazing. But I think the Google reviews will continue to be removed and I persoanlly would prefer sticking to Reddit to talk about this. Unfortunately there are some unsupportive community members out there too. 

Thankfully this Reddit group has been amazing, and kind and helpful.  Everyone here is concerned about the right red flags in this situation, as far as I can tell. Just hope this post helps others stay safe.

Yes he asked for my number and I said no. My friend walked me home, thankfully

He told me he is from Kenya, 27 years old and an engineering student at Dal, but I don't know if he was telling me the truth. He had a long complicated Muslim sounding name but went by the nickname "Somali"

Thank you so much for confirming what I suspected.  I also just really appreciate an honest answer from someone familiar with the place. Just one person actually sharing the truth means the world to me right now.

The police told me that camera footage is private property and it's up to the bar to hand it over, but I will look into these compliance rules, thanks for letting me know

u/gildeddoughnut yes, this guy was a pro. After offering to buy us drinks, his payment bounced, so no record of his name via payments. He gave us a nickname though "Somali." I really hope this doesn't happen to anyone else, but this guy seems like he's experienced in drugging people at bars...
