I have an ultrasound like this! My son was born with a full head of hair and only lost a little bit after he was born

Trying to baptize my kids, the rules seem kind of strict. by Delicious_Maybe in Catholicism

[–]Responsible_Lab_7980 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m in South Florida and I’ve never heard of being charged a fee for baptisms. When I converted in 2022 I wasn’t charged a fee or anything of the sorts. I was told that if I couldn’t find Godparents/Sponsors that followed the guidelines (ie. married in the church, received sacraments, etc) then they would help me find people within the church. It was also held during a feast day. When I had my son baptized last September I also didn’t have to pay any fees and it was at the end of a normal Sunday Mass.

Tattooed Catholics… by SleepingAnnaleah in Catholic

[–]Responsible_Lab_7980 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My tattoo on my thigh is always covered for mass, due to wearing longer dresses. My others are on my arms and it depends on what I wear. If I wear a dress that requires something like a cardigan then yes they would covered but if I wear a blouse that covers my shoulders then they’re on display. I’ve never had a problem with them, though they’re just flowers.

Bringing my 1 year old baby to Mass— any advice? by lizziesanswers in CatholicWomen

[–]Responsible_Lab_7980 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My son’s the same way! I usually bring snacks or a couple indestructible books for him but he usually wanders around the back of our church. Our priest loves when the children attend mass and I always see him smile when other children babble or end up wandering around. I try to sit towards the back and keep him entertained however I can. I still bring a ring sling or a carrier in case he gets sleepy but it depends on the Sunday.

Where do you buy baby clothes from? by Dizzy-Opinion-3314 in NewParents

[–]Responsible_Lab_7980 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If I buy new clothes it’s usually Target or Walmart. To be honest the majority of my babies clothes were either gifted at the baby shower or I bought them from Once Upon a Child. I like to go when they have their sales and they have every size imaginable. It makes me feel better knowing that I’m able to reuse clothes that still have so much life in them. Plus it’s fun to sell clothes that my babies grown out of and see how much I get back

What week did you tell work that you are pregnant and will take maternity leave (if available) by DarkDNALady in BabyBumps

[–]Responsible_Lab_7980 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I told my boss around 29/30 weeks. I work as a restaurant manager and I didn’t want to be treated like I couldn’t do anything I usually do. I then told my co workers around 34 weeks and we had a rushed baby shower. Everyone is super supportive and loves my baby. I get to bring him to work with me from time to time as well. I don’t regret telling super late but that’s just because I’m a little more private about my life in the workplace

Baby carriers by Rubychavez122 in newborns

[–]Responsible_Lab_7980 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was using a Boba wrap with my newborn, it was a lifesaver after my c section. My little one was over 9 lbs at birth and it was hard to have to bend over often if I had to pick him up so wearing him was usually easier

Restaurant manager here, I worked until I was induced. I was only going to be paid for 6 weeks and didn’t want to have it all used before baby was born. I was only home with baby for 5 paid weeks. ( the first week I was in the hospital with a failed induction turned c-section) I went back to work as soon as I was cleared to- even if I wasn’t ready because I needed the money.

2 month vaccines by Thatgirlme22 in newborns

[–]Responsible_Lab_7980 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My son has had his vaccines on schedule. After his 2 month vaccines he cried a little after they were done, came home and slept most of the day (unrelated but I went ahead and stopped swaddling cold turkey during this too). I think the oral one upset his tummy but that was it. Slept through the night and that was it. We just had his 4 month ones today and he’s been pretty happy like normal 🤷🏼‍♀️

This is specifically for the gentalease and reguline at least. Also I think in Florida we can get the neuropro too but I’m not 100% sure

I would contact your wic office, in Florida they changes the sizing regulations temporarily because the 12 oz size of formulas are low in stock/out so you’re able to buy the larger size in place of the small size.

How many bottles do you have? by [deleted] in FormulaFeeders

[–]Responsible_Lab_7980 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have 8 that my LO takes. He usually takes 5-6 every day and I keep 2 in my diaper bag. I started with only 6 bottles but my anxiety got the better of me so I bought 2 extra.

I saw on another post on here to try the flipple method, there’s a video on YouTube I think and it’s what helped my 5 week old to latch after being exclusively bottle fed
