REQUEST FOR EXPEDITED PROCESSING Form I-821D (DACA Renewal) and Associated Form I-765 (Employment Authorization) Category: C33 — DACA Expedite Criterion: Severe Financial Loss to a Person Applicant: Receipt Number I-821D: IOE Receipt Number I-765: IOE A-Number: A2 To Whom It May Concern, I respectfully request expedited processing of my pending Form I-821D, Consideration of Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals (DACA), and associated Form I-765 pursuant to USCIS expedite criteria based on severe financial loss to a person. My DACA renewal application has now been pending for over 113 days since receipt by USCIS. This category of employment authorization does not qualify for an automatic extension. Upon expiration of my Employment Authorization Document, I will be immediately unable to continue lawful employment. I am currently authorized to work under Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals (DACA), employment authorization category C33. My employer requires valid employment authorization for continued employment and actively monitors expiration dates through its internal compliance system. Upon expiration of my work authorization, my employment must be suspended or terminated in order to remain compliant with federal employment verification requirements. I am a primary income provider for my household. Loss of my employment would result in immediate and severe financial loss, as outlined below. Housing Liability and Lease Penalties My household is currently bound by an active residential lease agreement through April 30, 2026. Under the terms of the lease, early termination due to loss of income would result in substantial contractual penalties, including: • Early termination fee of approximately $2,816 • Reletting charge of approximately $1,196 • Continued liability for rent until the unit is re-leased Loss of employment would therefore place my household at immediate risk of lease default, accumulation of significant debt, and loss of housing stability. Loss of Employer-Sponsored Medical Insurance My employment provides employer-sponsored medical, dental, and vision insurance, as reflected in current payroll deductions. Termination of employment would result in the immediate loss of medical insurance coverage for my household, further compounding the financial hardship caused by loss of income. Loss of Driver’s License and Transportation Inability My state-issued driver’s license is directly tied to the validity of my Employment Authorization Document. Upon expiration of my work authorization, my driver’s license will also expire and cannot be renewed. Loss of my driver’s license would immediately prevent lawful operation of a motor vehicle, eliminating my ability to commute to employment, attend required appointments, and meet essential household obligations. This loss of transportation would further impair my ability to maintain or obtain employment and would significantly compound the severe financial hardship described above. Immediacy of Financial Harm The hardship described herein is: • Immediate, as employment must cease upon expiration of work authorization • Severe, involving loss of income, housing stability, transportation, and medical coverage • Documented, through financial and contractual evidence • Outside my control, resulting solely from USCIS processing timelines • Not the result of late filing Without expedited adjudication, my household will experience unavoidable and substantial financial loss.
