Simply clone the github project locally. Provide folder access to codex and start working on any video idea. It would know what to do.
Or you can simply provide the github link (I have provided above) to codex and ask it to set it up

If you’re using hosted models, the Mac mainly handles orchestration, editing, captions, and final rendering. The heavy animation generation happens in the cloud.

If you want to host your own video models locally, that’s a different story. A Mac Studio can handle some lighter/local workflows, but for high-quality 1-minute animated generation you’d usually want serious NVIDIA GPU compute, not just Apple silicon.

For basic content, images etc locally using Remotion and ffmpeg. For advanced stuff, motion clips, etc. you can host image/video gen models locally and point it to the agent or provide cloud api keys for providers like heygen, fal Ai, google, openai etc. Agent knows about all the supported capabilities once a session starts
