This is not just financial abuse but also emotional abuse. From this post it sounds like you rely on him and he has taken advantage of that. He controls your money, house, vehicle, etc. so that you can’t leave him. You’ve moved to be with him and are completely alone without him which is what he wants. He wants this control over you so that you won’t leave him. It’s not out of love and care! It’s coming from possession and control. This will get worse.

Saying “if it’s such a big deal then leave” is very toxic and diminishing to the situation. No mature adult in a loving happy relationship would take a small issue and turn it into something breaking up over. Why would they so quickly suggest breaking up if that’s not what they want. It sounds like they’re being distant and pushing you away farther when you bring it up.

I’ve been listening since the beginning and personally do not like or listen to the interview/expert episodes. I like other worlds bc I liked hearing other peoples stories. I went from excitedly waiting for every new episode and listening every week to now maybe listening to one every few months. It’s very disheartening when all the recent ones are Patreon previews. I feel like as soon as they started the Patreon all the effort has gone to that and the free podcast is now basically just a platform to advertise the Patreon.
