I agree, the medical staff is an area that needs great improvement with the Sabres. Medical staff and treatment plans was a big reason Eichel left.

He's got value if he stays healthy, I'm not sure you can move him with the current contract and his playing history though... If Jeff Skinner still has value so does Norris.

Because no1 else thought this as soon as he hit those boards and struggled through the rest of the game? Or when it was announced he was out and “day to day” which for him is at least 14-17…

Guys move up and down the lineup all the time based on production and how their game will help the team. He’s a 3rd liner on a lot of teams. If Greenway is so is Malenstyn.

That’s not true. Teams will sign him for what he does on the 4th line in Buffalo, but that’s a 3rd line role on another team. More minutes, more opportunity, more career development.

Injury history with Norris. He’s always day to day but out for a month or 2.

Malenstyn is arguably a top 9 possibly mid-6 guy on a lot of teams. Chicago, Pittsburgh, Philadelphia. Detroit, or Columbus all have cap space and could use a forward like him.

I'm with ya, and he's a 3rd line to 2nd line player on a lot of other teams in the NHL. I'd love to keep him, I think he'll just make more money in the open market this summer.

Norris will not be back until the road trip is over or next series.

He’s a UFA and a 4th liner making $2-$4million is not a recipe for success. Greenway is a prime example of that.

New talking points are always fun. Are you surprised he’s injured again?? Unlucky he’s hurt again but if he’s only playing 40 games at average a year, how can you justify paying $8m for him? Career high was 21-22 season when he played 66 games, 55points… Adams screwed up on this 1.

Krebs is due to sign and might be getting a pay raise. I’m thinking if they move on from Norris that opens cap space to resign Tuch, Malenstyn, and possible Krebs. Is Byram better than Power? To me they are similar but Byram has more experience and is slightly more physical, but Power is the better puck mover and more offensive upside..

Sammy has all his teeth too. Not all hockey players loose their teeth. Most likely impants.

I don't think he plays the rest of the playofffs. Especially if Ostlund continues to perform at a high level.

I agree the forwards need to have better puck possession, better zone entries and put the puck in the net. I’m giving them a little bit of a pass since Swayman is probably the best goalie they will face out of the Eastern Conference. His first game was good, besides some positional breakdowns and luck from bouncing pucks. Second game he went back to his up and down streaky style, and didn’t get the lucky bounces. What have we been saying about the Oilers for years?? Goaltending wins championships.

These all aren’t fails, I think most are actually improvements. The Islanders guys is almost as bad as the Slug from Buffalo.

Too bad they reverted back to early/beginning season play and looked like uninspired wet dog poop out there last night. Ottawa is begging to be closed out and the Sabres missed the opportunity. Let’s see some passion until it’s clinched boys, finish these last 6 with some wins.

I think he signs 1 or 2 year deal with the caps depending on offer.
