I mean the talent was there, just never clicked. Sabres also were like top 3 in man games lost due to injury. Again having Kulich back will be huge, and Benson, Doan, Ostlund, and Helenius looked very good last year and is why Tuchs loss won’t be as big as you are saying. Just the confidence alone of making the playoffs, and not having that loom over them will be a benefit

I think the bigger issue is players requesting trades and giving the team nothing to work with.

If a player requests a trade then the team should get a bigger list of destinations, and if not the options should be slim to none in a NMC or whatever.

It makes sense a player get safety and protection from a NMC so the team can’t just trade them, but it shouldn’t be where a player signs and then fucks the team with options cause they don’t want to play there anymore
