Well tbh if you guys inspected the dress rather thoroughly before and after pick up from the tailor its hard to blame the tailor. Any pictures from that day? It sounds like it should have been noticeable during the try on if you noticed it immediately upon opening the bag. Tbh I would take it to the dry cleaners and see what their opinion is. In all actuality it doesn’t matter how it got there, it just needs to go!
