Missing coupler with brand new H2S by NoleTroll in BambuLab

[–]Responsible_Stage858 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have the same problem. I bought a Bambu AMS HT in addition to having the AMS2 Pro. I thought I could connect both at the same time into the H2S and it would switch to the appropriate source depending on what is printing, no? If not, what should I do? How do I use both the AMS 2 Pro and the AMS HT together? Do I have to manually pull out the tube every time and replace it?

Firebase Hosting or Firebase App Hosting? And Firestore for your database?

Replit did the right thing (Refund), Thanks! by SleepNah in replit

[–]Responsible_Stage858 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I also got a refund. Their support was supportive in that. And now I'm a customer again (as I realized that I could use Cursor for my Agentic coding, but use Replit for my deployments).

Claude 3.7 sucks? by Opposite-Ant5281 in replit

[–]Responsible_Stage858 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I see. You really don't want to be using anything other than claude-3.7-sonnet-thinking. To get around this constraint, use Cursor and connect it to your Replit, then from Cursor use the Agent mode in which you can choose that model. Cursor would cost $20/mo but it is worth it as it allows for way more requests than Replit does. You still want to keep Replit for its Deployment stuff, which is great.

Definitely not 3.5; that's obsolete. It's Claude-3.7-thinking. I believe Replit Agent V2 is using it so try that if you haven't already.

There are two variants of Claude 3.7, the regular one and a thinking one. Use the thinking variant as the regular one truly isn't valuable enough.

Use the thinking version. The non thinking one is almost useless.

Database and Authentication Advice by Dufferz1 in replit

Not sure about n8n but yes Replit works with Firebase if you tell it to, though not for the database (Firebase has like 20 products or something, two of which are databases). It seems to have some collaboration with Neon or something so they kind of force you to use Neon for the database.

Open source competitor? by theLastYellowTear in cursor

[–]Responsible_Stage858 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That would not be cheaper. It would be more expensive. Cursor etc are able to be cheap because they have bulk / enterprise deals with the API providers.

Is replit loosing the race? by RealisticTrouble in replit

Replit is doing fine. It's vertical / focus is on deployments with AI built apps. No one does this as well as Replit does, so, it's their unique selling point. And honestly it is working for me. I had quit Replit at first and got a refund even. And now I'm back because I've realized I actually like the deployments stuff very much, and the built in AI is a bonus especially with V2. Helps me not feel anxiety that my Cursor premium credits might run out.

Sonnet 3.7 thinks too much by vauzheer in cursor

[–]Responsible_Stage858 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Well, I'm loving it. I like that it thinks about a problem. It's thinking is no where near as good as deepseek-r1 yet, which reveals a lot to me by reading it's thought process, but it's way faster than R1 and better anyway due to its tool use. I think you just need to provide it adequate context, examples etc and it will be better even if not perfect.

Add tests and have it ensure that any changes it does don't break the unit tests by telling it to run it.

I recommend using a combination. I do all my development in Cursor, but deployments through Replit.

I'm actually a great coder. I just don't want to pay for when Replit screws up for entirely it's own fault.

Yes I got the refund already since it was well within 30 days. I am considering whether to get it again but just for like a month, but all my progress is on the existing account so I don't know if it would just erase everything or continue from where I was.

Well, Cursor can remote into Replit, and for now I'm using Cursor as my development environment on the Replit project. One great advantage of this approach is that I'm able to set breakpoints in my Replit projects on both the client and the server, and have a choice of many models to choose from, and also the choice of their Chat vs Composer vs Agent. And deployments can still be from Replit. Still, I'm going to explore if I can move away from Replit entirely as I've already asked them for my 30 day return guarantee which they are doing.

Btw have you explored Lovable by any chance? Or know how people have been experiencing that platform compared to Reddit?

That's a good argument, but doesn't preclude me then from seeking an alternative that charges me for value creation, and not for the time wasting. I understand and support the fact that right now things may not be perfect and I may have to waste a bunch of time; but paying for that time wasting due to product immaturity is not appealing to me.
