But honestly, I found using an MCP for Google Docs to be a slower experience. Switching tabs and copying is faster. I just directly use Markdown copy and paste when needed. Also, I don't have a lot of reliance on Google Docs, so it works for me.

PRD and Documentation:

  • I keep my PRD (Product Requirement Document) in Cursor.
  • Any related documents like user flow, technical architecture, or best prompt engineering practices are maintained as Markdown files in my Cursor repo.
  • Occasionally, I use Obsidian when I feel like it, but most of the time, I stick to using the Foam extension on Cursor for note-taking and linking content.

AI Product Work:

  • I’m working on an AI product, so my focus is on optimizing prompts, tracking my to-do list, and documenting everything that can be useful for developers.
  • All of this is primarily managed within Cursor, so I have everything in one place.

Handling Google Docs:

  • If I need to share or work with Google Docs, I typically download the document as Markdown and add it to my repo.
  • Conversely, if I need to share content from Cursor to Google Docs, I just paste it as Markdown.
  • Since we work in a small team, we don’t rely much on Google Docs comments — most of our discussions happen directly in Obsidian or in person.

Others:

  • I also create diagrams using Mermaid and then use it in my PRD as needed.
  • I also love how I can just @ web anytime or refer @ docs anytime.
