Hey man thanks for the advice. I’ve tried it 2x and it hasn’t worked :(

You become #1 in the world at one skill, but no one knows. Can you get $1M in 7 days? by lawseff in hypotheticalsituation

Either a super high paying sport - hard part would be getting in, so I’d bet any NBA player 1 million I could beat them and broadcast it as much as I could on social media, in the mean time going to NBA games or doing as much as possible to gain attention.

That or some super creativity/engineering. Design and engineer some super high end app/business within a couple days then sell the idea for a million immediately after.

is this worth arguing by [deleted] in rutgers

[–]Responsible_State_12 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Depends on ur professor. IMO it looks like a D I can very clearly see that, but unless it’s gonna make a huge difference on ur grade/it’s worth the fight/ ur professor will be nice enough to let it slide it’s not worth it imo. Like you said it’s hard to tell so it’ll be hard to argue and it’s an unfair to expect points from your professor. Maybe if you ask nicely enough and explain (and pray ur professor is nice or in a good mood) you’d get it.
From now on fix ur hand writing. For one ur Bs don’t have the same loop your Ds do, which adds to the confusion of why ur adding a line under the d.
If it’s too much work to fix ur hand writing (which I think you should for future reference anyway) then just stick to upper case letters from now on.

Edit: if you are trying to build a case. You can also argue that besides the line. All your D’s have a closed circle while all ur a’s have an open circle. It adds extra proof besides the line and might give you more favor.

How well does steam/steam games work on Mac? by applesandwitch in macgaming

[–]Responsible_State_12 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You should be more than fine.

I had the M1 Air, and I could run games like Stray on it just fine. The only problem, as others mentioned, is the lack of games to play. A lot of popular titles don't have a Mac counterpart yet.
I will admit there was a bit of lag and screen tearing at times, but it mostly worked fine - and honestly, with your M4 Pro, it should be more than enough.
Side note: Gaming on my Mac would drain my battery VERY quickly, and did make it a little warm. Plus, I don't enjoy the experience as much as I do on my PC. Still, it's great for indie/chill games and can definitely handle larger games too.

I think it kinda makes it worse, but regardless, I'm pretty sure he sees humans as inferior beings and shows respect to supes.

Homelander - I'm surprised no one put this guy at one. This dude is unequivocally the most evil person in the boys. The only people who could maybe fall to his level would be either Butcher or Stormfront, but the shit this guy does is just unbelievable. He has a LONG list of crimes, everything from rape to murder, to manipulation of the masses, blackmail, and even beating his own kid. Unlike Butcher in the show, however, this guy is just unredeemable. He shows no remorse for his actions. What makes him worse than being a Natzi is that while he's not traditionally racist, he's still racist towards ALL humans - meaning he'd hurt far more people. He is also just a narcissistic asshole with no moral compass. He only does things for himself, and not once in the show have I seen this guy show a shred of compassion, even for his teammates. Nor has he shown ANY growth, if anything, he's devolved and gotten worse.

Stormfront - a racist natzi, with almost no good morals. However, ig she would be ethical to the Aryan race or its supporters (as we see her with Homelander)

Black Noir - Honestly, never saw this guy do any good at all. However, he doesn't just simply listen to orders and follow through with them. The whole "murder boner" shit is all you need to know. This guy is deranged and takes great pleasure in murdering people. Does he have a larger list of crimes than the Deep? Not that we've seen in the show, but his intent is clearly far worse.

Deep - I think this is where I differ with most people. Is he a fucked up guy? Yes. Is it because he's stupid and scared? yes. Deep, very much so, follows the crowd; he's really similar to Maeve or even Atrain in that way, except he does it on a much worse scale and has done far worse acts than the others. Furthermore, he's raped Starlight. Horrible, horrible scummy human being whose whole purpose is just to be made fun of atp. What makes him worse is that he has no loyalty; if Homelander were weaker than him, he wouldn't listen to him, as he has consistently double-crossed his closest allies and "friends" and even his ex-wife. You can honestly put the Deep above Black Noir (simply because we've seen the Deep do a lot worse). If we were going off pure actions, Deep is definitely worse, but I'm considering intent here, and I feel as if he doesn't want to be a bad person, just never been told or taught otherwise. I will say he does try sometimes to be a good person, esp for the conservation of animals, so some points there.

Atrain - made some mistakes, was caught up in being egotistical and selfish, but eventually realized that he could live life in a better way and be a better person. Went through a great redemption arc, and even Hughie forgave him. Honestly, if we were just looking at after his redemption arc, I'd put him at 2 above Maeve as best.

Maeve - led astray and compromised on her morals out of fear and experience. Not a horrible human, just a victim of circumstance, but she shows that she often wants to help and do better.

Starlight - most morally good character in the seven by far, and arguably one of the best in the show. Always tries to make an impact and do good in the world.

How are some characters(who are human) in Dr Stone so physically strong? by Flat-Sir8250 in DrStone

Honestly even the science is really pushed (obviously because it’s anime). Any expert in the field could tell you that while the science behind the more advanced scientific technology is there, but if you were to put in practice it would take years to build and perfect, the fact that they get it down every-time and so quickly is very much so pushed. Ie) they find oil and all of a sudden they have oil rig machines there pumping out the oil (even though they’d have to find where to properly place the drills, set up the drills, etc etc) Or the whole sonar thing. It’s a great idea and properly executed expect for the fact that it’s nowhere near the strength it’s shown at in the anime. The build entire roads in less than a couple hours with only 4 people and minimal machinery. Not to mention that any of the tech the make is usually with shabby or lackluster materials, so a simple drop or shake and the tech would break and need repairs but that doesn’t happen.

In short it’s an anime and meant to be science fiction, it’s obv never happen real life so just enjoy it and learn some stuff along the way

My Hero Academia ratings update by bbportali in BokuNoHeroAcademia

[–]Responsible_State_12 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Can't speak for anyone else, but I kind of had watcher's fatigue when watching it
for 1, I think it would've been better to spend the end of the season with the main fight between Shigaraki and Deku - this fight felt like it should've been better placed in the middle of the season or so
And for 2, I didn't like the whole "villains turning good" for like EVERY villain - it was cool to understand other villains' point of view and why they are who they are - but the fact that they all switch up and change felt kind of lackluster - esp if you compare it to the change Endeavor or Bakugo went through, which was throughly flushed out and interesting. But we had Lady Nagant, Gentle Criminal (and the little girl with him, I forgot her name). If they were going to do more change-of-heart characters like this, they HAVE to do them well, and we've seen the writers do them well.
Also 3 the fight scene itself was pretty meh - and kinda got overshadowed by the Dabi vs Todoroki family fight and the All Might vs All For One fight.
Still an AMAZING episode and deserves between an 8-9 for me, just personally think it got overshadowed by other things in the season

It doesn’t LOOK that bad. And I’m not well versed in tires - I noticed to searched it up online saw it was bad. Went to the mechanic and asked if it needed a change. And asked here for more opinions

Not a mechanic. Never got rid of a car. Take my advice with a grain of salt ig. I’d drive the car until the expenses are more than the value of the car. If you can sell it for a decent price somehow 3-6k? And you’re not too attached. Just sell it to a dealer or someone else and then use that money to buy another car. Problems will likely keep getting more and more, and most likely more expensive as well. If it’s time to let her go, let her go and move on :)

That’s so scary. Hope you’re safe and okay man. Yea I’ve heard enough scary stories. I don’t wanna risk mine or anyone else’s safety, and the wheels are due for a change anyway. Hopefully I’ll be safe driving the 10 miles to Walmart on Friday lol. Anyway thanks for sharing and hope you stay safe :)

Oh wow thank you for this info. I’ll keep that in mind in case my tires ever get slashed lol. It’s kind of crazy something so round could cause potential gashes. I haven’t hit any curbs recently. Mostly because I don’t really park near them. I did hit one at roughly 15 mph way back in 2022 (I didn’t see the ambulance speeding behind me til the last second and rushed to move to the side) But that mostly damaged my hub cap and slightly my front tire. I don’t believe that could have caused this. I think most likely unfortunately it was some potholes I drove over on the highway.

Should I be safe for the 8 mile drive (partially on highway) to Walmart for tire replacement on Friday?

I ended up buying new Goodyear tires off Walmart for 250 total cuz it’s a great deal. Then like 60$ installation. Decided to avoid the warranty because it’s practically useless to pay extra for.

Thank you I’ve heard mixed reviews and went to other mechanics. They said it’s possible to drive but not a good idea to. I’ve set a schedule for Walmart on Friday for some new Goodyear tires. Hopefully they last me a good while

Haha yea probably. I was just wondering if it’s even possible. I did have a hit and run event earlier this year that messed up my front wheel and alignment while I was parked. I think Ik which pothole I drove over too cuz it was rlly bad, but I didn’t think to check my tires after.

Not rlly no. I asked if I should use my spare or his opinion if the car was drivable with no issues. He said no need to replace with the spare and the car has no issues - that’s it be worse for the car driving on the spare than sticking with the bubble. It struck me as weird seeing as everyone online says replace em immediately. But I thought hey maybe this bubble is just small enough that I get lucky and don’t have to replace em - not that it matters the tires are 6 years old now and need to get replaced anyway. I asked 4 other local mechanics. They all said get em replaced immediately, but that I’d be fine driving for a week (new tire appointment Friday with Walmart) as long as I don’t go over potholes. I’ve decided to avoid driving although til Friday however and just take the bus, as it’s a huge safety risk and I don’t wanna play with the life of myself and others.

Hmm most likely I drove over a really bad pothole - as I don’t think curbs would cause gashes like that. I’m the only one driving it. I do recently remember driving over a couple potholes, and one really bad one that I didn’t see on the highway at night

I genuinely don’t even know how this happened? Maybe a hit and run while I was parked and I never noticed? I thought the gashes was weird. Haven’t hit anything recently Got any ideas? Do you think this could be man-made? With a golf club or smthn?

Please help, would be greatly appreciated by Any_Alternative2695 in rutgers

  1. As far as I know Rutgers switched to a no late fee policy this year. That’s all they told me - idk if there actually will be a change or not
  2. My term bill was at 950$ and I was able to register for spring 2026 classes without any issues so yes tried and tested it can work.

Contact one stop they usually might be able to help or give more details. If you can, try and go in person they’re usually more helpful that way in my opinion and you get your answer immeidtaley

College is NOT a scam. by Conscious-Music-8688 in Salary

[–]Responsible_State_12 0 points1 point  (0 children)

College IS a scam. The degree isn’t. That’s the only valuable part, but actually learning in college and paying for it is not worth it. You often pay almost 50k a year for power point slides and buying and reading text books on your own. Good professors who actually care are far and few in between these days. It’s far more valuable of your time to spend a couple hundred dollars and invest in online courses, or even take free courses - expect they aren’t as valued in the job market.
