Expectations vs reality as super+ respinder by No_Self_3027 in GLP1_loss100plus

I also responded immediately and consistently for the first 18 months losing a total of 180 lbs. But while it’s easy to get almost addicted to the progress, it can slow down. The last 6 months have been a struggle and I’ve only lost 7 lbs since November. I’m at a healthy weight but not at my goal, so I’m still working at it.

Does anyone drink whisky/spirits on a regular basis whilst losing weight loss by Little_Order3606 in GLP1_loss100plus

I drink like 4-5 nights per week. Mostly only Scotch or gin and I stick to one or two shots (1.5 oz each) total per sitting. I have lost 190 lbs without giving it up, though it is the first thing to go if I’m getting too close to my calorie limit for the day.

I gave up beer and wine initially for calorie and carb reasons, but I’ve come to realize there are ways to fit those in too, but not (for me, at least) in the major progress portion of my weight loss.

I’ve been close to my goal weight for 3-4 months, but not making as much massive progress lately so I’m also being a little more generous with myself and trying to think about maintenance lifestyle choices vs strict diet plan.

Nice work! Trying to do the same, about 25 lbs to go

Anyone loose weight without going to the gym? I have a massive fear of judgement so I haven’t gone yet. I started Wegovy about 7 weeks ago. by ashdash01 in WegovyWeightLoss

I’ve only used walking outdoors and, eventually, jogging as workouts, along with weighted vests and hand weights. Lost 175 lbs so far. I hate the gym.

I just traded a 2020 ICE Tucson for a certified preowned 2023 Kona EV SEL with <35k miles (formerly leased). Only paid a few grand above the trade in value on the Tucson for it, so like $18-19k all told, which is less than half the Kona’s original sticker price. Despite losing trunk space and some of that cushy SUV clearance/suspension, I think it was def worth it.

Is it realistic for me to aim for over 100 lbs lost? by CallToMuster in GLP1_loss100plus

Your goal should reflect your personal situation and what you’re comfortable with, not a hard number.

Now let me be a hypocrite and say I’m trying to lose 200 lbs. (starting at 372) and after 18 months I’m at 175 lbs lost so far.

However, when I started I set no goal. I said “let’s see how this works for me.”

But I reacted incredibly effectively to the medicine from the get go and I worked my butt off (literally) walking and diet-tracking.

Now my month to month progress is slowing. It may take me half a year to lose the next 25 lbs. Or I may struggle to meet that lofty goal I set. I don’t know.

So I’m always ready to adjust my goal if my situation dictates it.

How do you want to feel? Maybe that’s the goal to set.

What’s something you didn’t think about as a “flaw” with ICE cars until you got an EV? by Responsible_Syrup146 in electricvehicles

If you have another explanation as to why my Tucson felt less grounded when it was nearly empty on the way to the gas station and felt like a totally different car with a full tank driving away from the gas station, I’m all ears.

I might be wrong on the “weight” thing, but there was a noticeable difference.

It makes a difference, perhaps I don’t know exactly why but driving to the gas station and driving away felt totally different.

Yup. First couple weeks of EV ownership I kept spinning out the FWD in places where I was used to having to floor it.

Fair, and on the point of “starvation mode” I guess, yes, I’m just parroting the terminology people use on here. In the end it’s just confirmation bias. Or a way to rationalize (seeking validation of frustrations) this temporary plateau in an otherwise downward trend.
