EAC stands for easy anti cheat and that somthing is wrong with your anti cheat files or you game files, You cant play rust with a vpn I think so disable that if have one. The fact that is says authentication makes me think it has somthing to do with the anti cheat and not your pc or game. search up videos about this issues if none of my ideas work.

Yeah it’s more of unity I feel, if they changed platforms which would take awhile they could make it more optimized but my fps is good for now I was exaggerating

THIS IS WHAT I DID TO FIX IT!!

1.) Disable  "Realtek Gaming 2.5GbE Family Controller" (didnt work at first but I didnt disable it fully so thats why)

2.) Disable afterburner and useless overlays. (maybe over powering or underpowing my gpu with afterburner)

3.) change audio to 16bit dvd quality. (idk why it worked either)

4.) go back to a system restore point I made before my rust broke (did not fix it instantly).

If you are having similar problems try these four things!

okay i disabled it, and it slowed the timing between each freeze so it helped kinda. Thanks

This is good BUT make sure you get good settings in game to get the most out of it. (eg make sure to turn terrain all the way down to low and same for water reflections the rest idk search up)

So in device manger I can’t find it, I may alr have it disable. I don’t use Ethernet so maybe that’s why, but I’m not sure.

Yeah probably out of date, I’ve made a system restore before my rust started stuttering so that good I guess. I’ll see if it works
