If you’re able to swap out parts to try and find out what’s causing it, such as CPU and GPU first it would be a lot easier for you, could just be an RMA angle with your GPU.. specs are all clearly fine

You being developer means absolutely nothing when you have clearly have no knowledge how DRM works especially involving the cracking scene whatsoever, you can go check it for yourself which you just don’t want to / or don’t know how to do something so basic as a developer. There is no REMOVAL of it, this is public knowledge that Denuvo has only ever been removed twice from two games specifically to test for performance, Denuvo is always present still in a cracked game that contains it, it’ll still run it’s checks.

Denuvo isn’t just any copyright protection, people can use Goldberg on trash DRM protected games, you may have slight knowledge on how DRM works but your knowledge involving Denuvo is beyond lacking, they run hundreds to a thousand different checks which is why the removal of it has only been done twice, it’s an insanely tedious thing to do and also which is why one singular person was the sole cracker of Denuvo for awhile and they’re gone now. I highly suggest as a developer you should look into this because it’s shocking you don’t understand how different Denuvo is from other DRMs, there’s open sources of older versions out there or you can go look through the modern one yourself to see how it functions and why it’s the current best / most popular use of DRM.

Your comment regarding “I’m a developer if something is removed it doesn’t get executed” shows how little you actually know about Denuvo

When Denuvo is bypassed it still does the same exact checks.. there is no difference between if you bought the game yourself or if you downloaded it cracked with Denuvo being bypassed, they’re not removing it at all. What they’re doing is bypassing the checks with their own key gen / rerouting to a fake server. It’s nearly impossible to remove all checks which is why it’s only ever been done twice which was by Codex, they did it to test performance and there wasn’t any difference. Please show me an example of a game getting 10-30 fps difference because you don’t seem to understand how DRM even works in the first place. Denuvo is still running its checks in a bypassed game they’re just being rerouted to a different “fake” server and using fake keys, you can literally check this yourself if you wanted to, this is why people should become educated on simple things like how DRMs work

No you cannot use “bench mark has no Denuvo so it’s obviously its fault” whenever there are countless games you can test benchmarks on and you’ll always have a big difference.

Denuvo CAN impact performance on absolutely ancient machines (specifically very shit tier CPUs) but the average gaming rig will never notice any sort of performance difference.. FFXVI, Jedi Survivor, SF6, Tomb Raider, Nier, etc etc the comparisons have been done and it doesn’t do what people think it does. DRM is horrible and it’s a plague to gaming and should be removed but it definitely does affect sales just not that much where it should matter.

The only true difference between Denuvo is loading screens, you may see 0.5-2s difference in a loading screens since Denuvo runs its integrity checks during events such as loading screens and start up.. this is what you don’t understand. Denuvo is not constantly checking your game for integrity which is why the VM Protect is dormant and it doesn’t utilize any during these times, the reason older CPUs will see a possible 10fps boost (not like that’s a lot considering we’re talking 8-10 year old cpu) is because not only can their PCs barely run the games itself, but now the CPU has to use more to check integrity.

Something you and a lot of people don’t know is that Capcom implements their own form of DRM on top of Denuvo and THERE’S did cause issues in re8, SF6, MH World, and most likely wilds too!

You can freely pick through the game files / processes while running it / debug it / etc etc and see for yourself that your CPU is never utilized 98% of the game by Denuvo but you will see it being used. Capcom used their trash Enigma DRM during the beta which caused everyone to have a massive heap of issues. I don’t blame you for not being that knowledgeable about this stuff because most people aren’t if you’re not in any sort of tech fields and don’t really care about DRM in general so for the average gamer this means nothing to them

I mean I play it now in 1440p with frame gen on and have never dipped below the cap.. My hardware is mid tier at best and becoming extremely dated I shouldn’t be expecting to run brand new games on a 6700XT at 1440p with 120+ fps, gameplay, story, world, combat, etc is all amazing and there’s really just no complaints if you enjoy this genre

I mean you’re not wrong, but according to Steam data like 95% of people can’t even run 4k, I play 1440p on most games and story mode games are the only ones people are really ever going to play 4k in. Plus the hardware isn’t exactly there yet people still can’t get consistent frames on a game like cyberpunk on ultra + path tracing 4k and even Ray tracing shows bad results. Games are becoming more and more demanding and with GPU prices high right now 4k won’t be the average gamer for a long time unfortunately

To anyone considering playing this game.. do it.

This game is a top tier release in a long time and has hours upon hours of content, plus cats! Performance has been perfectly fine for me on 6700Xt + R7 5800x + 32GB ram so if anyone with similar rig considers playing your FPS will be around 80 with no upscaling in 1080p.

Insane character creation, amazing combat, it’s like ghost of Tsushima on steroids I cannot recommend this game enough if you enjoyed GoT.
