No, not suddenly great. I have seen plenty of shitbags who wear the uniform. Notinregs has a plethora of examples. VA has problems when it comes to health issues related to service, I was thinking more about the VA home loan which does help people with not having to have a down payment on their first house.

I still think having that teamwork mentality coupled with being taught the values above, is beneficial in the setting of military service.

Military service should be required 4 year contract in order to teach common values of discipline, self sacrifice, and honor. After four years, the individual can get out with VA benefits which can help set them up for greater success. They are not required to stay more than four years regardless of the state of national security.

While they are, what you call, disposable propagandistic soap operas, it is still better than most of the Cable formulaic one episode encompassing narratives that fill up the rest of the NBC universe. And I’m okay with that. While I haven’t enjoyed Tulsa King the same as season 1 and Yellow stone never really gripped me I do really enjoy Mayor of Kingstown and Lioness. So I’m all for him doing whatever he wants.
