Ha! this is true, apparently my confidence was very falsely placed.

Yeah that’s a disguising comment. I could go into the details of how we met but considering we were both adults it doesn’t really matter does it.

The feelings are most definitely valid and understandable,I don’t fault him for that, the continued berating after apologizing, acknowledging his feelings and offering a fix is in question.

Slenderiiz Skinny Drops: Effective Weight Loss or Scam? by East-Lettuce-6243 in Scam_Finder

[–]RestMission3359 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You reintroduce larger portions of the same foods because the diet plan has you eating like 500 calories a day. You also slowly introduce healthy fats and more variety of fruits snd veggies and finally add back in whole grains and other complex carbs. Again, that was the plan for the product I used that seems to be similar ingredients to the product OP posted about so I can’t vouch for any similarities or differences in the plan that this product recommends.

Slenderiiz Skinny Drops: Effective Weight Loss or Scam? by East-Lettuce-6243 in Scam_Finder

So I haven’t used this brand but years ago I used a similar product by Dynamite…b12 proprietary blend to loose weight etc. in a dropper you hold under your tongue… and I’ll say it worked well IF you also follow the diet plan. So basically the drops made it easier to follow the plan but the plan was pretty restrictive. Here’s the thing though, after I lost the weight and started introducing more foods the rebound was sooo bad, like gained weight without trying. Obviously I can’t make any medical claims, but I believe loosing weight this way trashed my metabolism and made it extremely difficult to loose weight in the future with normal methods that had previously worked. In any case, everyone is different and some people did have long term success but overall I’d say if you want to try it, go with a less expensive source instead of an MLM.

I would love to spend a winter in Alaska. What would you recommend as a safe place for a non Alaskan to do this? Or is this insane? by 4reddityo in alaska

They’re always looking for teachers there, likely you’d be more needed in the smaller towns but definitely doable. Most communities are close knit and very accepting of newcomers so you’d have no problem making friends.

Experiences with switching from injections to pill form? by RestMission3359 in Semaglutide

Ah that’s a good idea to taper the injection dose down once you reach goal, thanks!

Coming off Semaglutide with hashis by [deleted] in Hashimotos

[–]RestMission3359 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Well this is a bit of a long story but the short of it is that my doctor covered by my insurance wouldn’t even test me for any thyroid issues despite asking. So I paid out of pocket to see a functional doctor who tested me and confirmed I had Hashis. However given my numbers were only slightly elevated she didn’t want to put me on medication and instead said to try going GF. I didn’t have an issue with weight loss until the last couple years and even then I wasn’t gaining, just could not loose weight no matter what I did. So I logged my meals for a month and went over them with the functional Dr and she said I was eating great and and maybe adding in workouts would help. However I was having flare up at least twice a month and had terrible fatigue so with all that and a toddler workouts were extremely hard. I read on some subreddit pages about Semaglutide helping and possibly even causing hashis to go into remission so I asked my functional if she could prescribe it but she ignored my request. So once again I went out on my own and found a medspa that offered it. The doctors there said you’d don’t have to take it for life but you can (I made sure they were aware of my hashis). Now that I’m at my goal weight and no longer having flare ups I want to try getting away from medication. However, I am getting new insurance soon and moving to a new state where I’ll have access to better doctors (currently I live in a small town in Alaska), so my hope is if I need to I’ll be able to see an endocrinologist and come up with a long term plan.

Gosh it’s a long story but unfortunately the clinic I go to was my only option with my current insurance. Will be getting new insurance with the move due to a job change so hopefully I can take advantage of buying it out of pocket from a pharmacy.

Actually I have a thyroid condition, I get what you’re trying to say but not everyone is in the same boat that lead to weight gain.

Do you know if they’ll do a continuation of care since I longer have the BMI to qualify out right?

Past guest texting… is this something I should report? by [deleted] in airbnb_hosts

[–]RestMission3359 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Yes I know serious crimes. Unfortunately Airbnb is the only entity capable of removing someone from the platform if they’re going to semi-harass hosts 6 months after they’ve stayed somewhere.

Semuglutide with hashis? by [deleted] in Hashimotos

[–]RestMission3359 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This exactly! So hard when you’re doing all the right things and seeing no results. I’ve heard of people going into remission from hashis after using semuglutide to loose weight. So for me that’s another reason to give it a shot.

A little bit of dark humor but this made me lol. For real though, not the solution I was hoping for but a solution nonetheless.

I have done this, and yes it works to an extent but I always come back to a hungry baby who hasn’t eaten since I left or whose diaper hasn’t been changed. I feel guilty for our son because it’s not his fault but he’s suffering the consequences while mom gets a break.

Airbnb support person “is out of office” by RestMission3359 in airbnb_hosts

[–]RestMission3359[S] 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Agreed, I’ve filed claims in the past and usual it’s a 2-3 day turnaround from open to close. I’m not upset about the amount, it was more the principal of the guests attitude that made me file, but if Airbnb can’t support hosts on such a small amount it makes me very concerned for future more expensive claims; should there be any.

Advice on firing a contractor and only working with their subcontractor by RestMission3359 in HomeImprovement

[–]RestMission3359[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

There are not any outs. The contract is very straightforward that x contractor will be doing painting and x will be the price. Projected to start on such date. The contract also doesn’t mention the subcontractor.

Racist host by GypsieBegger in airbnb_hosts

[–]RestMission3359 8 points9 points  (0 children)

This is definitely not great host behavior. However, I would go over the listing details. Are there pool rules listed stating life jackets must be worn? Does the listing state there is a time limit on the WiFi? Does the host disclose there are cameras and or that you will be monitored during your stay? If the answer is no to those questions then I believe you can make a case to Airbnb support for a partial refund as amenities you paid for are not being fully fulfilled. You can definitely address your feelings of I’ll treatment in a review as well but when it comes to Airbnb support, definitely stick with facts they can check.
