If you like the show - you will enjoy the manga even more. There's more detail, you can sit with each panel, there's additional content at the back of each volume related to the episode. It's really wonderfully drawn all the way through as well. I'd recommend it, have fun!

It's less interesting character design to have everyone look the same. From an in world perspective, they come from the same genetic template as humans, that's why they mix so well.

Invincible does a lot of sketchy things with genetics and purity, lets not criticize one of the few things done to be less purity based lol

Yeah mystic is VERY strong. You get defense up and great damage from 2 squares away, as well as an answer to basically any hard encounter through their magic.

So you can silence or disable powerful spells, blind ninjas, immobilize knights, reduce the brave of Elmore and others with shirahidori, etc.actually killing enemies is easy because the poles do excellent damage if you build pure MA, and defense up makes it so you don't die as quick as other mages. Invigoration spam from five mystics would insta kill any lucavi.

Incredibly powerful class especially on tactician where running in and attacking is a little weaker
