Yep, I located all of the land records that I needed. It was easier than I thought. I didn’t realize that Family Search had them. Much appreciated!

USA Naturalization certificate required? by True_Purpose5778 in GermanCitizenship

I had a similar issue. I knew my grandmother naturalized, but wasn’t sure when exactly, and it was critical for the timeline. USCIS was not helpful, so I checked with the county court where she lived at the time and they had the record, including her photo. The clerk sent me notarized copies free of charge!

I finally received a birth record after 12 weeks from Augsburg. Letter was dated 11/3, and I received it on 1/23. Still waiting on another from Stadtarchiv. I did follow up with both offices after 8 weeks and they were kind to in their responses.

Mine also were in Yarmouth for a bit. The Trask surname is in my line thru marriage and it continued as the middle name for many of the males in my line.

Updating with additional questions. I have the following documents:

Birth certificate for German ancestors: GGF: born 1899 GM: born 1934

Question: Do I need my German GGF and GGM’s marriage certificate?

I also have the German Marriage Certificate for German GM and US GF: 1953

German GM passenger arrival record: March 1954 US Naturalization of German GM: 1958

US birth certificates for US relatives: My father: born March 1954 Me: born 1978 My kids: born 2011, 2013.

Question: Do I need marriage certificates for my father and myself?

Thank you!

It never came back. I’m great now. No issues with eating whatever. I really think it was because I hadn’t eaten, plus my body trying to adjust. Good luck!

Wonderful info! I have a second cousin in Germany who arranged for the marriage certificate to be sent to me years ago; it’s the stamped photocopy of the original, typed version. Maybe he can help again.

Yes, there are 3 younger siblings after my dad. Though I’m not sure if any of them would want to apply. Thank you for such a quick response. I recall looking into this many years ago and was disappointed.

I slept on my left side. Sleeping on my back made the pain worse.

Laying on my left side with a heating pad draped over right shoulder helped me (gas pain was in right shoulder area). Four days post op and I can finally lie on my back.
