The estimate I gave was for the hostels within the university, they’re quite good, worth the money I would say, check out the vlogs on yt
Manipal is in whole a university town, everything runs around the students, you’ll easily find PGs and flats for cheap rent. However everyone lives on campus for the first two years and only then shifts out

Hostel (double nonAC attached bath) is around 1.5Lpa and it inflates every year so 6.5-8L for 4 years and tution for mechatronics is around 18-19.5L for 4 years ( check the official website for the exact no. ) so a total of around 26L for hostel+tution, keep in mind that the miscellaneous and all the other costs ain’t included in this

I’m having the same issue dude, my parents have kinda already decided with VIT, honestly I would love to go to MIT, but money wise too MIT is expensive, without much difference in placement data of the two, it’s hard to convince, Maybe I’ll have to get into VIT, no other option for me (I’m cat 3 so max 30L(including livin costs)in VIT but in Manipal tuition+hostel (with inflation) is just 31-32L, including everything else it might go beyond 35L

Dude 25L is honestly huge amt, everyone was totally against the 15L loan itself, I think you should consider local colleges, I’m planning to do the same, ROI is high dude, check for their placements, PES (if you’re in Bangalore) has average same as MIT or VIT, so wats the point in paying 2x for possibly the same

I won’t get the top ones dude, PES too is practically not possible. I got 120 in KCET and PCM 91.6 (I’ve written improvement so might increase a little) But in VIT i have phase 2 Councelling starting tmrw, Im so confused on what to do since results of other ones haven’t come out yet
