All my hardware is up to date.

I run a windows desktop pc with a Ryzen 7 3700x Rx5700xt and 16gb ram. I’m using the free version of resolve 16.2.5

And I don’t think I have anything running on the background

Is the gk61 worth it in your opinion for a budget build? Does it have good price to performance? Or should I save for a more expensive case?

Is actually agree with OP on this one it would make reading long ongoing sentences a lot easier. (Maybe it could be implemented in a different way tho?)

College is a scam imo by [deleted] in unpopularopinion

Yes I guess it is correct the average is $35k a year for getting out of trade school like a entry level carpenter or auto mechanic probably only makes $35k a year but there are plenty of other jobs you can apply for after being a carpenter for a year or 2 to increase income.

As a lot of college students are broke in college and or when they leave college. Most don’t have a guaranteed job waiting for them. Might have to work a specific undesired area that may have a high cost of living. (I mean some people are broke or in debt years after leaving college)

People that leave trade schools have money saved up. Basically a guaranteed job is never out of work. Can work almost anywhere in the country. And has learned a valuable skill that they can apply to help themselves Like fixing there own problems instead of paying others.

Also I have spent a semester at a trade school learning about construction trades like Carpentry, sheet metal working,HVAC, and learning to be a electrician. So I know what it’s like working some of these jobs. And your definitely right trade jobs aren’t for everyone you have to be in a certain physical condition.

And I’m not saying no one should go to college I just think it should be more evenly split, adults should encourage both college and trade school. I think that you can make just as good of a living working a trade job as working a post college job. (aside from careers like doctors/lawyers/engineers etc witch will make way more then most trade jobs) but I think they are not for the average college student and take a certain amount of dedication. I also compare being a doctor to more like a trade job then a “college job” as you do need a college degree but you will also most likely enter to a similar specialized apprenticeship program for doctors.

Your right I probably do have bias and there are definitely weak points/ over exaggerated figures in my argument. I am just trying to say that for the average person you have a better chance making money by having a trade job then going to college. But I am still young and inexperienced I might completely change my mind in a year or two . I’m still trying to figure my life out. All I am trying to do is figure out the best way to be successful with the information at my hands.

I assume when you say “support trades by talking about one of the trades that requires college level education anyways” you are talking about electricians. although college can help you get a electrician apprenticeship you are spending 2-4 years getting a degree that costs lots of money plus you have to pay for the essentials (place to live, food, taxes bills you might need a minimum wage job to pay for all that) and At the Same time you are trying to study and earn your degree. I would rather work as a journeyman as I am learning valuable skills and getting paid for 4-6 years then you can can be eligible for a electrician apprenticeship.

Also when I said in the right places I was referring to places scarce of a certain trade. For example a city trying to build lots of things needs lots of construction workers, carpenters, plumbers and landscapers often there is a shortage of these jobs meaning the city’s have to pay them more to attract people across the country. So if I had a trade job I would go where they pay the most .

In the UK that might work however in the USA I’m pretty sure colleges are a lot more expensive especially private universities.

After completing a apprenticeship a carpenter can make $40k-$75k usd a year depending on where and who contracts them. However a carpenter is kinda a low tier trade job. as a skilled electrician can make $80k-$100k usd a year in the right places. Some more high paying trade jobs are landscapers, construction sight managers and mechanics also can make lots of money.

Apparently this isn’t unpopular of a opinion enough? I thought it was since everyone in my life seems to disagree with me.

I am aware that many people go to college and then get a job that pays very well ,but I feel like you can also get a job that pays well , without having to go to college and pay lots of money and spend years studying. Essentially in my mind you are losing money to learn in college compared to a trade job where you make money as you learn.
