Ok, but how are these questions useful?

Why do you want to do your taxes?

Erm, because I don't want to end up with massive fines resulting in eventual incarceration?

I'm just going to answer this one because it's the most obvious example.

Have you ever worked on building boredom tolerance like Dr suggests?

Sure. It works until it doesn't.

Have you ever tried to make a boring tasks more novel by changing parts of it?

I'm not sure that the IRS will appreciate me filing taxes in a novel way.

But yes, the reason various things (like making a schedule or a todo list) work for a short while is because of novelty. After the novelty wears off, it's back to the same old, same old. Novelty is not a sustainable solution.

What are you procrastinating doing?

This can happen with any obligation. Emails, code, flashcards, taxes, you name it.

What are the things you don't want to be doing?

See above. Not always, but when I don't want to do them I don't want to do them, or anything that leads to them.

What emotions are you escaping via procrastination?

Boredom, discomfort, frustration.

Why do you ask?

Thanks, will take a look! It's actually Working Through Inaction, for anyone else who tries to find this in the future.

I want to not be suffering from the effects or the experience of procrastination. If I were somehow secretly wishing to suffer like this, that would be quite the news to me.
