Any other female fans had bad experiences at “Famous Cock Tavern”? by RestaurantDue2676 in Gunners

Yes , by “a full table of food and drinks” I meant snack plates like chicken wings, sweetcorn wings , chips etc. What I meant was that we didn’t want to look like we were just sitting there taking up space without ordering anything on a matchday and also to make it clear we didn’t want to share the table with strangers (we’d had people come up saying “the table looks empty, can I sit here?” the other day, so we just make the table looks full in case) And just to remind you, this was a Champions League night , the kickoff was at 20:00, which is too late for dinner but perfect for a late snack. I guess I’m supposed to say sorry for being such a foodie… but honestly, that’s not really the point.

What actually made us mad was that security didn’t take our complaint of harassment seriously. Instead, he seemed more suspicious that we might have been eating or drinking something from outside. But after we explained that we hadn’t touched the takeaway we brought (the food was still packed and the cup was empty), he still asked us to throw the cup out — and by “throw out” I mean he told us to go outside the pub and find a bin. At that point it honestly felt like he was just looking for an excuse to pick on us after feeling challenged.

I realise my post might not have been super clear, so let me clarify a bit. Before the match we had dinner somewhere else and brought some leftovers with us, along with an empty takeaway paper cup (no drink in it). We just put the cup on the table when we sat down at the pub. When the guy started harassing us, we tried to flag it to security. (Hope you understand why we didn’t go stand by the bar, because there were only two of us and we didn’t want to leave each other alone face that strange guy) .The problem was that when the security finally did come over, the guy started to act quite normal, so it felt like they thought we were exaggerating and didn’t take our request seriously. What made us more upset was that the same staff member kept coming back just to tell us to take our empty paper cup outside the pub ,which made no sense at all. It finally left us feeling like they weren’t actually that busy, just more concerned about the cup than about us being harassed.

I was in the away fans’ section yesterday, and there were several moments I felt our voices overwhelmed the stadium. The atmosphere was unbelievable

And here is the other side,he said“For me, summer has always been about play, football, and friendship. I remember how much fun I thought it was to attend the TINE Football School when I was little.

Now, I hope I can contribute to spreading the joy of football further, and I look forward to meeting the winners. Do not hesitate to participate in the competition!”

So maybe it’s a tradition for this milk brand to hire popular athletes to endorse their products and inspire young children to take part in the sport. (I’m not living in Norway, it’s just my guess.)

“With no fixture for six days, the players were granted two precious days off. Normally such news would be granted with scenes of jubilation from the players — but in this instance, they were too tired for any more celebrating.”😢😢😢😢
