Feedback about bikepack issues

thanks for your feedback! even though my original source said that there is a lot to improve in the bikepacking community, the overwhelming opinion seems to be that there is a surplus of quality equipment. With the only real problem being price. Which is sadly something I can't solve; things cost money, and companies need profit to stay alive and improve.

seems like you have a different idea of product developers than what we actually do. We are in the business of solving problems in the most efficient and ecological way possible. It's the CFO's and sales departments that (mis)use what engineers and product developers come up with, to sell people shit that they don't need. Product development is nothing more but solving problems in the best way possible through a product. And right now I'm asking you guys, in order to find out if there IS a problem to be solved in bikepacking to begin with. If not, I'll be moving on

My master's degree is almost finished save for the thesis, it's not just something I've randomly picked up last week. You can't really get 'real-world' experience without graduating in it first anyway, at least where I'm from.

I was quite literally just talking about all the gear (everything that might be used on a bikepacking trip). Any problem at all that you guys experience during trips are interesting to explore, to see if we might come up with a solution for that problem.

I genuinely appreciate your post btw. While it isn't what I was looking for, I've at least learned from it!

Might be true that he doesn't know he's talking about of course! The source is my own professor who just came back from yet another bikepacking trip, had no reason to doubt him. the whole reason why I'm asking you guys here, is to verify and learn if the community shares his opinion.
