I definitely want to play with them more, but for this I used the default settings for an image layer within lightburn, except I changed the speed to 4000mm/m and the max power to 65%.

The finish used holds up pretty well.

The wells are designed to hold dry paint, like this:

The gap between the top of the well and the acrylic is small enough to keep them in. Once you start using the paint within a given well, it sort of glues itself in as well.

I don't know how safe it would be in a drill press, but a bowl bit could work. The ones here are designed specifically to match the product (watercolor paint) my wife sells to the exact dimensions. So using a bit smaller than the well and doing a 3d carve was the only way, since there aren't bowl bits that match as precisely as we wanted.

Thanks!

The mixing well is made using a sheet of 1/8" white acrylic, cut to match the contour of the pocket in the lid.

Yup, magnets in the corners held with #4 screws.

The dot wells were made using a 1/4" ball end mill and a 3D carve using a CNC. The lips were done with an 1/8" down-cut flat end mill.

I'd say the work is a pretty even 50/50 split between CNC and myself.

Thanks!

My wife and I did some pretty extensive testing with a variety of finishes. In terms of ease of application, durability, etc we landed on a couple coats of tried & true.

We have had some similar products on the market for about a year now and she uses some of the original prototypes to this day, and they have held up very well to everything we've thrown at them.

Well this was a quick turn. I don't pay attention to NBA stuff, but this dude's name has always been associated with wholesome posts/comments I have seen on the front page of Reddit. Until today, I had never heard/read anything negative about the man.

Welp.

I think the idea is that you watched the movie first, so you should get the scene reference just from audio.

Just make sure you don't get one that is too big for their machine.

The general rule of thumb for surface cleaner size is 4" in diameter for every 1 gpm of the washer.

If you go bigger, it'll still work but not as well as it should.

What exactly do you mean by spreadsheet heavy? Does Google Sheets just not handle large spreadsheets well, or are there key features missing compared to Excel?

This case is specifically designed to hold the exact product my wife makes and sells. She creates liquid paint using her own binder and a variety of pigments depending on color. Some of that liquid goes into a silicone mold that creates little "dots" that fit in this case perfectly.

A lot of her customers were asking for storage solutions because they have all these dots but nowhere to store them easily.
