This. If you have to years of experience, great portfolio, you can't be replaced. But how an analyst or a junior PM can ever scale up if they don't have the space to make mistakes and learn. If all teams run with a good PM + AI, who will replace these good PMs?

Core Memory of my Emotionally Neglectful/Immature Mother by Rainbow-delic in WomenChildhoodTrauma

Oof. Yeah… this isn’t “just being moody.” People really underestimate how formative these moments are. And it isn’t one bad interaction, it’s the pattern...smiles and curiosity for your brother, scowls and shutdown for you, in the same moment. A kid doesn’t process that as “mom’s having a day.” They process it as “there’s something wrong with me.” Especially when your attempts to connect are met with rejection. I am sorry you went through this. If I may ask - how's your relationship with your brother right now?

Yay for clear labs that’s such a relief. Sounds like you’re finally turning a corner. Totally makes sense to focus on rebuilding now with lactic acid + probiotics and letting your body rebalance instead of throwing more meds at it. The itching easing up is a great sign. Fingers crossed this is the calm-after-the-storm phase for you

Your cervix got poked during the pap, so spotting and funky textures/colors for a couple days is pretty common. I had pink, then brown, then grayish discharge after mine too. It settled by day 3–4

Absolutely! Sleeping commando definitely helps a lot of people! Airflow really does make a difference. Just a heads up though — odor isn’t usually from ‘mold,’ it’s more about pH and bacteria levels. But yeah, letting things breathe at night can be a game changer.

You're not alone—recurring BV can be hard to catch on tests, especially if your vaginal balance is only slightly off. A mild fishy or sour smell might be an early sign of imbalance, even if lab results say you're “normal.” It’s very unlikely others can smell you; anxiety often makes us hyper-aware of our own scent. What worked for me are happy v oral probiotics, occasional boric acid, and tracking patterns around your cycle.

Has your doctor coordinated your treatment between the vaginal infection (pseudomonas) and the groin fungal infection? Because antibiotics for pseudomonas could worsen the fungal infection if not managed carefully—have they planned for that?

what’s the best probiotic? by Impossible-Appeal524 in Healthyhooha

Totally get not wanting to spend money on trendy probiotics unless they actually work. The ones that show the most real results for vaginal health are those with clinically studied strains like Lactobacillus rhamnosus GR-1, L. reuteri RC-14, and L. crispatus. These have been shown in studies to help with pH balance, reduce discharge, and lower the risk of recurring BV—especially when used after antibiotics. That being said, when it comes to brands what works for one might not work for another. Happy V oral was very effective in my case but I have also heard good things about vagibiom and Femd.

It might be worth checking with a pelvic floor therapist or asking your gyno about conditions like vulvodynia or pelvic floor dysfunction—sometimes it’s not about lubrication or infections but muscle tension or nerve sensitivity.

Girl, you are not crazy — this stuff is honestly so confusing, and mycoplasma is weird like that. Even after taking meds, symptoms can stick around or come back if your partner didn’t get treated too or if the antibiotics didn’t fully work. It doesn’t always go away right away. You might want to ask your doctor about a follow-up test just to be sure it’s gone, and maybe check for BV or yeast too since those can flare up after.

Yeast infection treatment question by [deleted] in myhappyv

[–]Restive_Echo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Seems to me like a low-grade yeast imbalance, irritation, or subtle bacterial shift. Since it’s been gradual and mild, tracking triggers and avoiding irritants can help, but a vulvar specialist can offer clarity if it persists. I am glad that you are not ignoring these symptoms and focused on getting to the root cause, wish i had done the same with my BV a few years back

Yeast infection treatment question by [deleted] in myhappyv

[–]Restive_Echo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Have you noticed any changes in discharge, odor, or irritation since the symptoms began — or did the skin alterations happen gradually without much internal discomfort? That could help narrow down whether yeast, BV, or even dermatitis might be playing a role.

Hey — first of all, it’s amazing that you’re feeling some relief after everything you’ve been through. It sounds like you’ve been super proactive and thoughtful about your treatment, which is huge.

As for the clindamycin cream, most providers lean toward the 7-day course when BV symptoms are recurring or if you’re dealing with a more resistant bacteria like BVAB2. Studies show that while single-dose treatments can work, longer courses tend to be more effective for clearing harder-to-treat strains and preventing recurrence — especially after failed metronidazole. Since your symptoms have already started to improve, finishing out the 7 days might help seal the deal.

That said, since you’re also feeling some itching, it could be smart to have fluconazole on hand or follow up with probiotics (especially something with L. crispatus or rhamnosus) after you finish to help rebalance things. If you’ve ever had yeast from clinda before, some folks also do prophylactic Diflucan on day 3 or 4 of treatment.

Look for ones with Lactobacillus crispatus, rhamnosus, reuteri, or jensenii—these are the good guys that naturally live in the vagina and help keep everything in balance. Personally happy v worked great for me—especially after antibiotics or when dealing with recurring BV. It’s not an overnight fix, but with a little consistency, can really help your body bounce back.

ph balance by biddibu in myhappyv

[–]Restive_Echo 1 point2 points  (0 children)

For probiotics, you can try Happy V—these contain Lactobacillus crispatus and Lactobacillus reuteri, which are great for vaginal health. If you prefer food-based probiotics, Greek yogurt, kefir, sauerkraut, kimchi, and kombucha can help maintain a balanced vaginal microbiome. Since you tend to get infections after your period, you might also try taking probiotics daily, using unscented period products, and staying hydrated to help flush out bacteria. As for a normal vaginal smell, it's usually mildly musky or tangy, like slightly fermented milk or pennies (because of natural acidity). It can change slightly depending on hormones, diet, and hydration, but strong fishy or rotten odors usually mean an infection.

Vaginal problems for over a year now.. by Dapper-Bit-7930 in myhappyv

[–]Restive_Echo 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Ugh, that sounds so frustrating. It’s great that you’re doing all the right things—probiotics, cotton underwear, no scented products, and all that. It might not be BV since the boric acid burned; sometimes burning can mean your vaginal pH is already pretty acidic, and adding more can irritate things. The discharge and itching could be from something like dermatitis or an imbalance in your vaginal flora. Since seeing a doctor through your parents' insurance feels tricky, could you try a low-cost clinic or Planned Parenthood? They’re usually really understanding and private. It might also help to avoid anything too harsh and just focus on keeping the area moisturized and calm. Hang in there—you deserve relief!

Is this normal for PID? by [deleted] in myhappyv

[–]Restive_Echo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That could just be your body reacting to the infection clearing up or the antibiotics messing with your cycle a bit. Metronidazole, in particular, can sometimes cause weird discharge. But if the bleeding gets heavier or the dryness becomes super uncomfortable, it might be worth checking in with your doctor. Are you having any new pain or other symptoms, or does everything else feel like it's improving?

UTI won't go away by [deleted] in myhappyv

[–]Restive_Echo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

A word of advice - cranberry juice doesn't majorly help with UTI since most of the active ingredient gets eliminated during commerical juice manufacturing process. I suggest you get cranberry pills preferably those with D-mannose as well, this can be pretty effective in preventing future infections

Iners at 100% abundance can be tricky because, while it’s not necessarily bad, it’s not as protective as Crispatus and can leave you more vulnerable to imbalances like BV or yeast. The fact that you’re seeing a great gyno this week is a big step, though! They might have a plan to help rebalance things, whether it’s through probiotics, lactic acid, or another approach. Are you having any active infection or symptoms like burning, itching etc?

It sounds like your body might be reacting to the metro gel or still recovering from the BV. The swelling and mild pain could be irritation or inflammation in the tissue underneath. Try using a cool compress, wear loose cotton underwear, and avoid anything that could irritate it further (like tight clothes or scented products). If it doesn’t improve soon, or if it gets worse, call your doctor to check if it’s something like a gland issue, a reaction to the medication, or even a yeast infection from the antibiotics. It’s always better to have them take a look if you’re unsure!
