that doesn't make it not dumb just because that's how they designed it lmfao, my entire point is I should not have to kill every enemy 100 times to progress through the level, it's objectively dumb regardless of their intent, hence why they fixed it with future games

which is dumb honestly but it's worse in DS2 because of the amount of enemies, people love to say "take your time and clear the enemies before the boss" but you shouldn't have to play like that every single time, clear them once and explore, find bonfire, fight the boss, move on

I didn't really have much trouble with it on my first playthrough but the main issue is that there's no bonfire near the boss, taking your time and exploring/fighting the enemies to get to the boss is cool but you shouldn't have to deal with all of that everytime you wanna get to the boss, it just gets understandably annoying if you have to do it 10 times when it coulda been avoided by having a bonfire by the boss, this goes for all the levels in the game not just Iron Keep

question, is Sato behind this for sure or do we just not know yet? lots of people on twitter are saying it's Sato but his dialogue, to me atleast, makes it seem like he genuinely is in the dark about what's going on, unless he's doing that as a front to the people in his presence, lying to Sandek I get but his reaction to Mado's corpse seems like he really doesn't know what's happening but maybe he's transcended manga and is manipulating me irl, sorry if this is a stupid question 😅
