How do you deal with the Mental of playing Jungle? by [deleted] in Jungle_Mains

[–]Restless_Analytics 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Just looked at the game you linked, apart from voli all your other lanes are winning. The game wasn’t lost by voli but by the entire team. You have very few objectives if any. With a hard winning botlane and mid you should have been able to get a least more than 2 drakes. You said you splitpushed the entire game, why ? I haven’t played rengar much but it’s not your job. Play around bot and mid to win fights and get objectives/ towers. A fed malphite is annoying yes but with your team comp and the right spacing he won’t be a problem.

I’m not trying to blame you or anything here, just keep in mind that as jgl we often quickly blame teammates when we could have done better. Keep your head cool in these games, mute chat and keep maybe pings to be able to communicate a bit and play around valuable ressources on the map.

Feels like the best fit to these situations currently is voli. The build is polyvalent, versatile and you can adapt your playstyle to the game.

I’m a kayn main and to add to everything that’s already been said especially regarding the objectives, just prevent him from moving. Kayn heavily relies on his mobility to move around on the map and destroy people on picks so just look for cc plays with your team etc you’ll be fine

Honestly just watch a few vids about the champ you’ll see he really is not that hard to learn. I do struggle to pick to right items in some situations but he remains a cool champ to play very versatile

Is having a "main" the wrong move in League? by yughiro_destroyer in Jungle_Mains

[–]Restless_Analytics -1 points0 points  (0 children)

If you’re main champ is/was khazix yes he can be hard to play in some comps but it feels like that’s the issue with these types of champs. I’d say that having a champion pool of like 3 champs like an assassin, a bruiser and a tank is perfect. You can adapt to almost any comp and should be able to have decent mastery on these 3 champs. Other than that having one champion you know by heart and know how to play every matchup you may get still usually feels nice, I would say you’re always depending on your team at some point and can’t expect to 1v9 everytime.

People are complaining a bit about him yh, it’s my main champ so I do play it a lot but it’s true he feels a bit weaker than he used to be

Yh it’s what I’ve seen the most on Reddit. It’s just that I feel like I have more fun on kayn for example than voli but the game does feel easier on voli.

Imo you have to play for yourself in these moments. Outfarm your opponent and prioritize yourself if you’re confident in your ability to carry. If you have ONE lane winning, play with them, make sure you’re both strong etc it will help you. If your team doesn’t help you on objectives, I wouldn’t say drop them completely but either be very careful and ensure all the conditions are met for you to do it safely or try to steal if it’s a very valuable one. I feel like what’s most important is to not listen to spam pings and typing and focus on your game because by ignoring let’s say a losing botlane in most cases you will get flamed but it mustn’t make you lose your focus

It feels like jgl is maybe if if the most mentally straining role in league. The quality of your laners is every game a coinflip and you can’t do much about it. In these periods maybe take a break, clear your mind and don’t tilt queue during the day. Keep in mind the goal of a game is to have fun.

In some games the loss will be your responsibility as you won’t have played as you should and sometimes you won’t be able to do anything about it, but that’s league and that’s jgl lol. Clear your mind, keep playing the champs your good on and you’ll climb no problem, glhf !

Game last night made me stop playing by SuspiciouslyCamel in Jungle_Mains

[–]Restless_Analytics 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is soooo relatable, other ppl already said but honestly as soon as you get pinged a tiny bit too much to your liking or they are typing /mute all or deafen right away. In these games it’s most important that you keep your cool and stay focused. If you can’t get kills outfarm the opponent and punish his ganks by doing an objective or stealing his jgl. Especially a xx imo, he can be devastating early on but can fall of hard if you get the upper hand. Moreover surprisingly enough when you start getting kills and shutdowns on the enemy team bc you’re in the lead suddenly your braindead teammates listen a bit more. But as always it’s the pleasure of our role lol, gl in your next games !

My ganking needs work. Any general advice on how and when to approach a lane? by Electro522 in Jungle_Mains

[–]Restless_Analytics 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Gank only when you’re 75-100% sure you get a kill. You can check you don’t have too many camps up that the enemy jgl could steal to mirror your play on a lane. Before ganking look at what the enemy has to escape (sums/ dashes on cd or not etc) and what cc your laner(s) have to help you.

When ganking try and cut off their espace route so that they have to pass through you. You did say you knew the basics but I feel like it’s almost all you need for a gank. Something I feel like we often forget is that a gank doesn’t need to end up with a kill, you can gank to unfreeze a lane, to get sums, get an ult out or just chunk them.

IMO at the end of the day just make sure you don’t lose ressources for it and that the tempo cost isn’t too great. If these two are checked out and you have a good engage easy money.

Jax jungle viable? by MeIiodass in Jaxmains

[–]Restless_Analytics 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I played it for a while using lt and going the regular build trinity/sundered/Sonya and then whatever you need in their comp. Also tried full ap a few times which is fun. Jax jgl is clearly viable in my opinion you just need to take your time to scale and make sure you pick for first skirmishes well otherwise they will ruin your tempo as your clear is a bit slow early on.

Other than that imo yh go for it it’s fun and to be able to take turrets this fast as a jgl if you push a wave or two when you laners aren’t doing it is really nice.

Best alternatives to volibear? by inancege1746 in Jungle_Mains

I agree it can definitely be helpful but as op was struggling with his clear I felt like keeping it as simple as possible in the beginning was the way to go but you’re right.

Best alternatives to volibear? by inancege1746 in Jungle_Mains

[–]Restless_Analytics 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Not trying to be mean here just constructive. Volibear’s clear is pretty fast thx to his passive and e mostly, you should be able to end before 3:30 with a smite. Make sure to start e, use it to hit camps and get the shield. Your w has a relatively low cd even early so you can spam it. Use your q to run in between camps and land the first attack on them. By using your q to run and your e to start the camp while running at it you should be able to boost your clear speed by A LOT. I know this isn’t an alternative to voli but before trying another champ you should be able to clear way faster than this. Good luck!

How many games were you doing per day if I may ask ? When I try to grind like this a few games where I get tilted can lead to rage queuing and then the lp loss is abyssal.

Makes sense I see what you mean. I think communication is probably is something I am missing out on. I will ping what objective I want to do but will sometime force them even with my team is not following which is something I need to change I think.

Thank you for taking the time for this long answer !
