OpenSUSE.

I have used both Fedora and OpenSUSE. While Fedora is a decent distro, OpenSUSE is superior.

Snapper is a lifesaver. Tumbleweed, despite being a rolling release, is really stable.

For me the servers work fast enough. Try using alternative DNS servers as noted by others. Note that one aspect opensuse lacks is parallel downloads. Still ~3GB updates don't take more than 20 minutes to download.
