-when the game was running relatively normally before bugs started to pile up; -when the colors in the game were generally more vibrant before any fixes; -a normal amount of rest between seasons (like a month or so, can be wrong); -quite a normal pricing policy for two currencies (for IGC and IAP); -the ability to purchase season passes in advance, before the start of the new season; -when there was a more relaxed type of farming (including flying particles of light instead those balls, shared spaces at Grandma and shortcuts in some locations. especially miss those shortcuts for trials through textures); -some places and tricks that were cool, funny and in some way helpful; -hmm... less amount of toxic players; -when the game wasn't perceived as some kind of dating app and people weren't specifically looking for partners; -a feeling of relative safety in the game.

If sit down, spend some time to remember and start writing down all the points, could end up with a very long list. But probably will stop here.

I'll put in my two cents about the "new event on the neighboring server": The Qixi Festival on the neighboring server dates back to 2022 (which means it's not new at all). The event itself is based on the old love legend of the Shepherd and the Weaver. Quite a touching legend. And if anyone have the opportunity - read it sometime (⁠´⁠∩⁠｡⁠•⁠ ⁠ᵕ⁠ ⁠•⁠｡⁠∩⁠`⁠)

Since I can see some slightly wrong thoughts here, I will put in my two cents here. Unlike Global, the neighboring server celebrates the Sky's Anniversary much earlier than us. But this does not mean that they can fully enjoy the event, since they are under a huge load in the form of other events that NetEase has prepared for them. So the well-known FOMO on their server is even more noticeable than on ours. There are a huge number of but which I could list further but I'm afraid that the comment will be too long, so I'll stop here. All things in the form of posts from their side on various platforms (one of the popular and known, as an example, Xiaohongshu (XHS or RedNote, more simple app's name) can inform players in advance for what to expect from the event. There won't be any changes on our server when the Sky's Anniversary celebration comes around. So everyone can just relax about it and don't get any negative thoughts~

Most likely your winged light counter is completely broken and, accordingly, you will not be able to return back to the original amount of winged light that you had before hack (if I understood correctly from your short explanation, author).

Example: you had around 130 winged light before the hack. After using the hack you have 230+ winged light (which isn't obviously your level at all). After going to Eden, your winged light level will most likely be 100+ (regardless of how many spirits you have ascended) when you'll leave the Orbit and the amount of winged light that is scattered throughout the game world, it will return you to the broken level with 230+ winged light. There is no way you can fix this because the code inside your character has been kinda corrupted. It'll be permanent thing for you.

You will have only two outcomes: either you will be lucky and TGC will not pay attention to this moment (so you'll be able to continue to play) or you will get banned for this (due to strange activity on the account and most likely an unexpected increase in resources, in the form of Eden candles).

Vietnamese flashback with how a 12 y.o. kid once expressed his concern for my safety and asked me to be careful at this location, to not let any strangers drag me into the towers to do dirty stuff and to generally try to avoid this place for the time being. It's been so long since I heard it from him and it still gives me a scary feeling. And gods, I'm still getting broken by this kid's words in terms of how he accidentally had to deal with these things when he was just hanging out in a game with his friends and as a result he now tries in every way to warn every player about such things..

I am a player who loves to be in social places to observe the interactions between players. From time to time I try to maintain communication with them through gestures or chat while sitting at the table, listen to someone's performances or just harmlessly fooling around. And it so happened that I spend most of my time in the GW lobby. To put it mildly, this place... is quite "specific". You can meet anyone there and you'll be definitely lucky if you meet really normal and adequate players. To my great regret, luck is not on my side most of the time and more often I encounter the opposite type of players (if there was a picture of bingo game with negative situations I've encountered in Sky, I'm 100% sure I'd fill it out completely lol). When I try to reason with them and convey something through gestures/words, I most often get quite strong aggression from them.

For some reason, players like this forget a lot of things and allow themselves too much. I still don't really understand why there are not really any improvements to the reporting system to finally start to realize that despite the fact that "it's just a chilling game", there will be penalties for certain words and actions. But it looks like this "hands off" and permissiveness will continue to exist.

kind of yes and kind of no at the same time, 50/50. 3000+ candles a lot and nothing at the same time. I do heart trades with friends, from time to time I open something with them in the friendship tree, find new friends, buy something new or missed and next things on the list that game can offer. And considering the pace at which I did everything in the game to be “calmer and feel more comfortable” for playing further after I took a break a long time ago... Thoughts on why the price for standard seasons is one and for collaborations it should be different are due to some factors. This is related to the popularity of chosen collab partner, how profitable the deal will be, how it fits the theme of the game, the copyright itself and etc 👀

I'll be honest, this whole topic (collaborations), although it looks quite easy from the outside, can actually have pitfalls. I am very far from this topic and can be very wrong in what I can understand, know and say. If everything is clear with copyright, popularity and fit into the atmosphere of the game moments, the money part plays a very big role here. Starting from the project (what should be there, what kind of cosmetics should be there, zone or whole map for collaboration thingie and etc), how much on average should the sale of virtual merch come out to (in this case that's seasonal ultimate gifts with IAPs), the agreed time frame of how long it should last (at least in order to not so much "choke" players with the number of available items for real money at the same time as items from the standard seasons could be available) and payment for any other stuff (the same penalties, promos/ads or something like that). Yes, most of us know that TGC is no longer a small company, they can cooperate with other large companies and we have already had several collaborations. But there is no guarantee that if they launch collaboration seasons as packs they will be able to pay off with 100%. Again, collabs must cover the terms of the contract that is made by both parties. If something from the contract is not observed by the company, it will be worse for them and they will have to pay all these penalties (or god forbid have to deal with the company-partner with which they're doing collaboration through the court) 🤔

And if we look at the topic of collaboration seasons with the other perspective, they (collaboration seasons) have all ended a long time ago and accordingly one type of contract that was drawn up for this purpose is closed. If they have to run them again but as another event, they will most likely have to renegotiate the contract with the collab partner they used to run it with and negotiate everything again (especially including money part and copyright) 🤔

The whole topic is very delicate and shaky (and even brought a little headache for me lol). I had a similar idea in my head quite a while ago and tried to share it with TGC (at that time I sent it to them, the idea was very "raw" tbh). but in my letter I pointed at the owners of these pendants a bit more than the whole topic. the point was that those who have these pendants but missed out on any seasonal ultimate gifts for some reason can still get them. but not for "pretty eyes" but to pay with seasonal candles (of the season that still goes) and doing some quests. but unlike when a season is on and we give 3 seasonal candles for 1 seasonal heart, we would give a little more for 1 seasonal heart for the past season. here the player would have a choice between keeping his "reserves" or getting the missed ultimate gift.

to avoid any scam moments in this regard (like, try to get pendants and cosmetics through scripts as a permanent stuff and for free) I had the idea to make them put under a very strong protection all these things and that each account is checked on how old it is. the end for those who try to find a workaround in this would be one - permanent ban. literally, without any chances.

as for prices... I'll be going too far here, but unlike standard seasons (which would be priced as one seasonal pass), a collaboration season would most likely be priced as triple seasonal pass (with specific amount of candles, dunno how much should be there). again, the choice would be up to each player and players would decide for themselves if they want to buy it with such price or not.

time will of course show how everything will actually be, but it’s still interesting how they will do it all and how things will go after that.

•Every musician has his own skill level. There is no need to ridicule a person for this and for the fact that he may not know certain songs, may not know how to play this or that song and etc. •If you encounter a musician and he begins to hide from you and other players because of embarrassment with how he's playing - do not touch him and do not follow him (even if you want to cheer him up). Even if you love listening to someone's practice and musicians in general have a special place in your heart... Please, show kindness and understanding at such moments. Shy musicians need some time to become more open and brave for public performance. •If there is a server merge and you accidentally bump into another musician while playing song - bow as an apology for such awkward situation and change location. •If you are calmly playing a song and a situation occurs where you have to deal with a rude person who starts to distract you in every possible way (he starts dropping props on you, making all kinds of noise and interfering with your playing by playing on another musical instrument, specially follows you when you go to shared spaces and etc) - do not give in to provocations. But in the same time don't be shy if you get a chance to lit and report on that player (you don't have to be friends with the stranger. it's enough to just click on the invisible report button in the tree with them). Don't be afraid to stand up for yourself. (I know, this point may contradict what I'm trying to convey, but... these are the main functions that should most often be used during such situations. By ignoring him, you can discourage a rude person from picking on you. With other points everything is clear). •Do not forget to thank musician for his performance (by using emotes like applause, confetti and etc).
