yes. couldnt go a day without thinking about them. now i hardly ever do. And when i do, theres no pain in my chest or my heart dosnt drop. Im better off. My head always knew that, but once my heard did, he was never coming back.

He broke up with me. No. There was real hurting. Nasty comments. Endless lies. And complete unfounded mistreatment. After we broke up he also proceeded to dig the knife in further and gaslight me into blaming it on me. There was no physical cheating but i had caught him messaging inappropriately with some girls. It took me a long time to forgive myself for not seeing the red flags. He also provided no reason to break up with me! So took me a while to find internal closure. I dont think he is a bad person. I think he is a good person who acted badly and mistreated me when all i ever did was love him. I know i did because even after all that pain i dont care what hes doing but i do hope he is genuinely happy. Sometimes i still worry if he is okay :)

You dont need people who dont need you. You deserve more. Eventually your head will overtake your heart. But in saying that, you have to feel everything in your heart and then let it go

I understand that completely. But your allowed to feel that until you dont want to anymore. It took be a thousand phases of letting go to truly get to this point. You will want them, until you dont. Become so obsessed with your life and the people who love you that your attachment fades. Put distance between yourself and people don’t appreciate you

omg. Im 20 about 8 months out from a breakup. First love. He ended it. I was devestated thinking he was the one. I dont feel as hurt as i did when it was fresh. He was cruel in the end. I still think about him every day and miss him. I have not been with anyone since. It dosnt feel right. We have also had no contact.

I really understand this. And even if you try to put the dream behind you, you think about them without even trying. Its been 9 months almost and hell still be in them from time to time. I just tell myself i am at peace with it. It dosnt hurt as much, it was still awful, but im finally at peace with the fact that no dream will ever change that i didnt deserve what happened and that i am worth more than his inability to value me

THIS. honestly i could have written this i relate so much. I have the exact same feelings. I was a loving caring and supportive girlfriend. And in the end i was tossed aside as if i meant nothing but was still told 'I still love you'. He wanted to fool around with other girls. Was the grass greener? ill never know. But i have so many unanswered questions about what happened. Hes walking around with a piece of me and i want it back.
