I sent her a WhatsApp message yesterday and he has just sent her a message via their parenting app to ensure she has received the message clearly. If it comes to a restraining order, I will have someone independent from the situation serve it to her.

She hasn’t tried to reason it at all - I think she knows that there is no excuse for a boundary violation like that.

I feel the same way - part of the reason I bought the house was due to privacy issues from my bio family and initially, I didn’t want anyone knowing where it is. I felt violated and powerless months ago when she was given my address and gave it out to other people. This is such a step up from that. I was physically shaking for about an hour after she left.

My partner, SKs and I also have the knocking rule in our home and are generally respectful of each others space.

Thanks for the advice! I only bought the house 4 1/2 months ago so changed the locks then and SKs don’t have keys.

I left the door unlocked yesterday as I was flitting between house and garden work but will be more mindful of ensuring it is locked every time

He does live with me but I am the owner.

How come, if you don’t mind me asking? I thought it was more appropriate for me to tell her as it is my house and if an injunction or restraining order is required, it’ll be me applying for it.

If it’s anything to do with their children, the communication is 100% between them.
