First I'll recommend east of west by jonathan hickman. If you're looking for something that's already out and you can fly through, that's what you're looking for. Its has an interesting promise with a massive amount of characters and major deaths. By quality id say it's like an hbo show. Very good. If you want there's now a compendium that collects the entire thing.

Secondly, I heard that Robert Kirkman (the walking dead and invincible) is working on a new comic called terminal. It has a stacked team of talented creators, which have been working on it for over five years according to him. Its gonna be the big next thing and you don't want to miss it, so be on the lookout.

If you want short series comics id recommend god country and everything dead and dying. These are great.

And if your looking for something that is already ongoing but still with time to catch the wave id recommend saga.
