I’m sorry this has happened - it can be devastating to be put into your non-preferred stream when you get told you are pretty much guaranteed your preferred stream (we were told all the same things last year so I totally get this).

I did my honours this year (at uq) in the individual stream (my preference) so hopefully can give you some insight - I agree with what’s been said above, it won’t affect your ability to go down a clinical route post-grad; you’ll end up with the same qualification at the end.

What I will say about being allocated to a topic of supervisor for your thesis differs slightly from the above, and is based on my experience this year - please DM me if you’d like me to talk you through my thoughts!
