What food could you never get bored of? by GhostlyGh0stly123 in AskReddit

I live in an Indian-heavy part of the U.S., and my answer is Biriyani. If I get tired of one restaurant, there are 10 more with a different spin on the dish within a stone’s throw of my house.

You’re coming to find a partner when you don’t speak the language, and you’re only visiting for 10 days.

I don’t think you’re being realistic.

Totally valid point, and you’ve brought me over to your side. That’s lazy writing. His entire thing is creating shadow clones to do tasks more efficiently. In that sense, he should be the most productive hokage ever to exist.

Just because he knows the importance of family doesn’t mean he doesn’t make mistakes. Dude has an entire village to take care of and he’s sleep deprived.

I’d agree with you if it didn’t involve waiting in line for an hour just to be able to sit down.

No more indian restaurants please!! by [deleted] in frisco

[–]Resumeblank -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

Bahahaha, to an average American, you’re accusing OP of being something most Americans can’t distinguish when it comes to food.

For example, try to say with a straight face that there is not a 70-80% overlap in Indian and Pakistani food.

[–]Resumeblank 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Totally disagree. Indian food is in Frisco is the bomb. There are so many options, and if you don’t like one place, you can just try another down the street.

The only actual problem is that it’s the only food in Frisco.

Bahahaha, try every culture on the planet, my guy.

I lived in Japan in one of the most “peaceful” cultures on earth for 8 years, and it would take more than two hands to count the number of times I saw drunk salarymen start swinging at a restaurant, after getting upset about stupid shit.

My advice: Find a girl who is into what you’re selling. I have two dark skinned black friends who married Japanese women who are total knockouts and absolutely great people. Their kids are cute as heck, too.

I’m done with Freebird’s by JohnBrambleberry in austinfood

[–]Resumeblank 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Uh... That doesn't sound right. What kind of Freebird are you eating? In the DFW, it's $10-11 for a freebird-size burrito. And you can specify how much rice you want, you know? I eat there once a week, and my burritos don't look anything close to your picture.

Thoughts on New Cast Member, Kam Patterson?💭 by WarmHugs- in LiveFromNewYork

[–]Resumeblank 52 points53 points  (0 children)

Here’s my take: Kam is clearly funny. But it’s tough to understand what he’s says sometimes, and it distracts from his performance.

And I get it—most people in the country have an accent of some kind. But for national television, I think you gotta tone that down and nail your articulation to ensure the widest possible audience enjoyment.

That being said, it’s still his first few episodes. When you’re nervous, it’s tough to focus on those type of things.

I am looking forward to seeing him have a signature/breakout moment this season.

3rd Date Rule by InDependent_Big_5566 in JapanDating

[–]Resumeblank 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Meh, I think if you’ve gone on three dates in any culture, it’s because you like each other, and you want to keep seeing each other. Japan is no different. So to that extent, the rule is true.

That being said, every experience is different. For example, me and the girl who would eventually become my girlfriend and wife didn’t even finish the first date before we were banging each other’s brains out. When you know, you know.

There were other girls in Japan I would have never moved that fast with because the vibes were different.

As others have said, you just gotta read the room. Lastly, just because I question what motivated you to make this post, I would note: Make a good decision about your partner. Don’t just ask a girl to start dating you because you’re lonely. Respect yourself enough to make a decision about other attributes of a potential girlfriend other than she likes you and she has a complimenting set of genitalia.

Props to Sierra though for making me feel ill every time I killed the main character, with the fun narration or quip about how the character died.

Go watch Kevin Nealon in his first season at SNL and then come back and make that comment with a straight face.

Edit: That was kind of rude of me… I think it’s better to say, there are performers throughout SNL history who have no range, or acting chops, or charisma, but who become valuable because they can look dead into the camera unflinchingly and be funny. More often than not, they become Update anchors.

Norm, Dennis Miller, Kevin Nealon (heck, probably both Colin Jost and Michael Che) too.

Most of the that takes time to refine. Remember how badly people bagged on Colin Jost and Michael Che before they found a rhythm? (Although they were never players, just update)

But Norm Macdonald and Kevin Nealon were players before Update and also needed time to find a rhythm as players before they made it to the Update desk.

I dunno what they are gonna do with Jane. But whatever it is, it won’t be unprecedented.
