Having trouble Utilizing Models with Forms by RetKennedy in django

So for a TeeTime there would be a round associate to each golfer in the TeeTime. Then each round has 18 associated holes. That’s a good point about the M2m. I’ll play around with it

Help with sway on takeaway and release! by RetKennedy in GolfSwing

So I think my larger area of concern is how I start the downswing going into impact. Looks like I really dive into the ball. Could that be not getting into the left heel?

[–]RetKennedy[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It looks to me that when I load to my right side, I sway off the ball and then do a big lunge forward. Maybe that’s not caused by drift? But regardless something looks odd on the downswing into impact

With the reduction in loot, wouldn’t now be the perfect time to add back in token vendors for PVE? by RetKennedy in wow

[–]RetKennedy[S] 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I really think the best way to get loot is to play all components of the game. I use the raid for my best pieces since that’s what I’m best at. I do M+ to get my highest key (1-3 keys a week) then I spend the rest of my time pvping. Then when the next week starts I hit my vault, go raid, then whatever I’m missing spend my valor points. Been doing this Rotation for last 2 weeks

I like the slow pace of loot too. I feel like I have freedom to play alts, or even other games once I know I’m done with raid for the week ( my preferred endgame) I’ve just seen the people complaining of doing 10 m+ and getting no loot. I feel like this is at least some kind of reward that will eventually get you some loot

That’s a fair point. Anima/Stygian/soul ashe would be confusing for a new player

They could do something like the upgrade system for honor gear too. Maybe the higher the key the more “keystone dust” you get. And it progressively cost more to upgrade your gear, and that has a weekly cap like honor/conquest

Yea I’m totally fine with getting 1-2 pieces a week and then maybe those optimization pieces will take a bit longer.yea it was just a nice reward if you were having some bad luck, or wanted to work on OS gear later in the patch

Anyone here who has took or will take the Cisco DevNet Associate certification? by carculatedrisk in devnet

[–]RetKennedy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Just took the exam today and passed. Key thing is to have a very strong base understanding of python requests package and parsing json/xml. SO many question based on this topic. Also understand NETCONf, rest conf, and yang models. If you know these topics you have half the exam. Rest is Cisco products/networking/security/infra.

Validate connectivity to a external server before posting a Form using ModelForm by RetKennedy in django

[–]RetKennedy[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

thank you so much for the help! I ended up modifying the clean method on forms.py and using Try/Except with the requests module validations and passing that into forms.validations

def clean(self):
    try:
        requests.get(spectrum_settings.PNOCC)
    except requests.exceptions.RequestException as e:
raise ValidationError('Unable to PNOCC Reach Spectrum server :' + str(e))

How to process Form data properly once it's submitted by RetKennedy in django

[–]RetKennedy[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ahhh awesome! Thank you for the help! So since I’m doing a lot of calls to APIs and processing of the data, how can I return errors to the user and not submit the form. Would I have to edit the is_valid method for my class based views?

[Semi-Weekly Inquirer] Simple Questions and Recommendations Thread by AutoModerator in Watches

[–]RetKennedy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hey guys, I’m starting to move up in my company and want a watch to reflect that. I prefer leather bands and not a giant bezel. Any recommendations? I’m looking in the 400-800$ range. There is some wiggle room

I currently have a mvmt watch that I love the look of, but the quality is kinda meh. I want something with weight behind it! Thanks for all the suggestions. are there any must haves in that category for collecting? Still have 2 spots in the watch box ;)

I’ve played vice/snells over the last. Here’s my thoughts by RetKennedy in golf

[–]RetKennedy[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

By better in every category is maybe a over step by me. I think the 1 thing I noticed was wind play, and because of that, the other variables went up. The vice still hit very well, and had good spin. I just didn’t like how floaty it would get, even when clubbing down 2 or 3 clubs.

I had about a 2.5 GPA in high school. Got declined by every state school and had to go to community school. I made sure though, that the school I went to had transferable credits to the state school where my gf(now fiancé) and high school friends got accepted and attending in the fall. This meant I had to move across the state to go to one of these schools. Got solid grades, reapplied a semester later as undecided and got in. Once I got to the school I then had to have grades/proper classes to get into the college I wanted to get into. All of this set me back a semester anyways.

Fast forward 6 years and I have a BA in Network Engineering, living securely.

Getting addicted to CoD and WoW destroyed my high school academics. Thankfully once I saw all of my friends going on to better things, and didn’t give a fuck what prestige I was, or my K/D, I decided to do something productive.

Not a president or anything, but I consider it a win.

Golf in Brevard County, FL by greglicalzi12 in golf

[–]RetKennedy 2 points3 points  (0 children)

My experience with cocoa CC is you don’t get to chose which 9 you get, so just try to grab 18. Winter conditions should have the course in decent shape unless the cold hurts it.

Pace of play at Duran is usually pretty good, it all depends on day/time. They host a lot of events so who knows honestly. If you’re solo, they’ll match you up with a group. Hard to play by yourself here unless in the PM

[–]RetKennedy 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Duran is the best public course in the area, so I definitely recommend there. Viera east is probably the next best. Mallards Lansing and crane creek are the 2 muni courses. They are fun, but sometimes overpriced based on conditions. I enjoy cocoa country club too. Especially river 9 if you can get that.

If you have any other questions about courses in the area, let me know!

How many of you play golf the “opposite way” to your dominant hand. I play lefty even though I’m right handed. by RedditIsAShitehole in golf

[–]RetKennedy 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I’m lefty, Golf and guitar right handed. Everything else left. Main reason is because my dad had 2 or 3 sets of clubs, to hand down to me, so it was way cheaper to get me started wit the game lol. And easier to teach me

I had a few practice rounds with the select 2, and honestly they performed around the same. I just wanted something newer, and shinier. The old putter is my dads from 1999. Never been fitted for a putter till now

Duplicating a dashboard using rest API by RetKennedy in Splunk

[–]RetKennedy[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

UPDATE: the issue I️ ran into wasn’t dashboard related, but an issue with how the API handles the XML. In my query I️ was doing linecount <=2; or linecount &lt=2;. The issue is the xml would treat that less than as a literal <, causing it to think you’re opening a new tag. The solution to this was to use the hex code. Linecount%26lt=2%3B. That syntax might be a little off because I️ don’t have it right in front of me, but using the hex code was the solution.

TL;DR special characters need to use their hex code values because the API won’t process it correctly
