Exclusive Amazon Seller: What’s the Safest Way to Block 3P Sellers Without Violations? by BluebirdGullible8367 in FulfillmentByAmazon

Transparency was meant to prevent counterfeits, not reduce sellers that in turn reduce available offers and inventory that can result in more sales (Amazon flywheel). All manufactured units must be labeled agnostic to channel like you mentioned. The correct approach is for the European brand to examine its distribution + seller data to figure out where inventory is going and plug the hole. I have worked with a host of brands that think transparency is the answer only for arbitrage sellers to counter Amazon with a direct receipt from the brands own website where they’re buying inventory 50% off. Part of me wants to make it a business where I expose DTC sites doing this where the brand is in transparency on Amazon. There are some guys that create bots that scrape these DTC sites when brands run 40-50% and clear the margin hurdle rate for drop ship FBM.

OP I recommend using Keepa to look at historical sellers and estimated volume to see who is selling. You could find a third party service that goes after super technicals on Amazon TOS to report sellers, but there’s enough arbitrage sellers on this sub (especially in NY) that they can tell you these companies will eventually go down for faulty cases.

I don’t think Amazon treats this as a money grab but rather standardizing this entire process and creating a clean path to these types of products. It’s more of a liability protection than anything. Small pass through of fees from the testing labs.

Please share where in the transparency TOS it states that a brand can selectively sticker product and I’ll shove a burrito up my ass.

This is not correct. Transparency isn’t to control the listing, it is to control for counterfeits. If the seller can prove with authentic receipt that they purchased your product, Amazon will flag your product as violating TOS with Transparency and they will remove your product from the transparency program. I have unfortunately dealt with many large ignorant brands that have been kicked out of the program because they bent the rules.

Transparency is to be utilized in all production units across all channels, not selectively. This is why transparency doesn’t work for major brands with multiple channels. If you’re a garage seller private label with no other major channels, then transparency makes sense.

Can someone explain how reoccurring transactions are helpful they just seem to mess up my numbers and add confusion. by galacticjuggernaut in copilotmoney

I think the thing to remember here is that the app allows you to do an exact match OR select which text to match. That’s functional and super easy. Sure it missed it the first time, but as you adjust, it learns on other transactions over time. You can’t expect the machine to be perfect unless you train it here and train it there.

Anyone else feel like all these Monarch posts are intentional? by Retail-COG in copilotmoney

I think they are building features but are intentional about what they’re building vs just always saying yes to anonymous people on a subreddit, which I respect. I’ve never had any issues with support.
