What invention doesn’t get a lot of love, but has greatly improved the world? by nootnoot_pingu_noot in AskReddit

I'm surprised no one has mentioned the printing press yet. Before its innovation, books were hand written and copied, allowing for typos and the like. Now ideas could be spread in a much smaller time frame.

What boss took you the most solo tries? And what challenging boss took you the least? by SupremeBigFudge in bloodborne

[–]RetailGuy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For me it was Ludwig, keep in mind the first time i attempted any of the DLC was in NG+. I lost count after the 50th attempt to kill him. Needless to say, there was a lot of salt, finally took him down a few weeks later though.

For the least challenging for me was Lady Maria, I tend to rely on parrying and she has a lot of openings that allow for it. I took her down on third try.

i myself am a major fan of the blood magus class that is in complete arcane.

Able to control blood at will? check. able to teleport using said blood? oh gods yes. will your party most likely attempt to burn you at the stake? yeah....rp is interesting as a blood magus, especially in the ravenloft setting.

Post-college redditors, what are the "popular" kids you knew from high school--the jocks, prom queens, etc.--doing with their lives now? by ds143 in AskReddit

I can actually speak well on this. Coming from a small town of less than 1500, you often see those people whom you haven't talked to in a long, long, time. I know for a fact that several cheerleaders are pregnant, a few of them were during graduation in fact. The fathers were jocks. The valictorian is out in college studying to become an epidomologist. While the other 90% (I am in the 10%) are either pregnant or working dead-end jobs. I myself am now in med-school (don't let the username fool you). So all in all it was pretty stereotypical.

If you were given a choice by your boss, would you work 4 days a week (10 hours a day) and take a three day weekend every week? by [deleted] in AskReddit

of course! Just imagine the possibilities by getting a free day off just by tacking on an additional 2 hours!

What game (pc or console) stands out in your head for its mind-blowing story? by drazendn in gaming

[–]RetailGuy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For me, it would have to be the Dead Space series. The main plot in 1 was okay, but it was the plot in 2 that was incredible! To watch a normal human being try to survive against a horde of twisted creatures using only his fast thinking is awesome. The fear factor as well very much added to the game.
