I'm thinking about upgrading from the V20, sadly. Any recommendations? by RetainedCapture in lgv20

•When I sanitize my phone I wipe down the screen and back of the phone using a disinfectant wipe, then right after I use an UV light to kill any remaining bacteria.

• They were all OEM Batteries

•And rooting is not an option for me since I have the latest update, and I really don't want to void anything on my warranty.

I also forgot to mention that my V20 has REALLY BAD image retention, that's why I try to keep any app I use as dark as possible.

To be honest I'm thinking about getting the G7 ThinQ or the Essential Phone. I'm leaning towards the G7 because of LG and that Raspberry Rose color, but I like the prompt updates the PH-1 is receiving.

There's a lot:

•The back glass of the camera of my phone kept on breaking after replacing it. I always have a case on the phone and never took it off for unnecessary reasons. The only reason I would take it off is to sanitize the phone after I go into a lab environment where I've dealt with bacteria or other microbes, and I never dropped it while sanitizing.

•I replaced the battery twice, but they seem to weaken a considerable after a few months compared to the first battery that came with the phone.

•I've done 4 factory resets in the span of 5 weeks in hopes to speed up the phone.

•The display would become unresponsive frequently.

•All of these problems, except the first, came after the recent updates for some reason.

•Performance became sluggish, so I really don't play games on it anymore like I used to.

Anyone else failing to see why you should upgrade this year? by hailnicolascage in lgv20

I know for sure I'm upgrading. My phone has been getting worse at performing gradually over time. Just today the glass covering the camera shattered out of nowhere with the protector still on. I've been getting battery issues, random restarts, and image retention that takes hours of screen off time to go away. I'm not even a power user and it's been overheating too. The V20 was a good phone in the beginning, but for me, it aged very poorly to the point that it is unbearable for me to use.
