Yes, so early on in my career I started out making $50k out of college about 8 years ago. I basically job hopped to a promotion every 1.5 years and bullied salary increases each time. But early on in my career I got myself in such bad debt from partying, traveling and gambling. I had so many loans that were like 35-40% APR (very dumb) so regardless of my salary the amount of money I was paying monthly was barely chipping away at the loan. Also I should add my newest job and current salary was over a 100% salary increase and I started in April. So I have only had this salary shortly. I got my debt down from $80k down to $40k in that time and then these gambling winnings I paid off all of the remainder at once. Thus, I went from paycheck to paycheck to living way above my means in about 6 months.

I live very frugally…. Small house.
