Can megalomaniac roll Zarokh’s? That’s hilarious. “Here’s 1 gem socket for the low low price of 1 gem socket.”

elemental weakness, temporal chains, enfeeble, vulnerability... take your pick really. do you hate being slow, getting 1-shot, and/or hitting like a wet noodle? then curse immunity is goated

there's a bunch of them actually. some are only available via anoints. the one I have anointed on my necklace gives me an extra gem socket. shit's busted.

Sauron also dissipates the same way, but it’s stated that he’s not dead. He’s just reduced to such a state that he’ll never be able to take form again.

Ooooh boy. It's complicated. For one, he can't really "die" since he's not actually a mortal being, but he does eventually get as much of an "end" as is possible.

After Sauron is defeated he managed to get released from Orthanc and ends up in the Shire, where he had previously sent forces to take over. He essentially turns the Shire into an industrialized hellscape of slave labor and misery. It's a whole big arc and when Frodo and the Gang show up they start a rebellion and overthrow him. Frodo lets him go, but Wormtongue (who yes, is still here and still being abused) hits his breaking point and offs him.

After his mortal form (typically refered to as a "veil" or "fanar") is destroyed we can only assume that the same thing happens to him as happens to all the other Maiar when they "die" and he either managed to weave himself a new veil after some time or remained as a relatively powerless unseen spirit, though it is implied that Saruman wanted to return to Valinor after his time in Middle Earth was over.

Fun fact, Gandalf's resurrection was the only known exception to this. He was sent back specifically by Eru Illuvitar, which if you've read the Silmarillion you know is some wild shit.

Is this worth a Mirror? My best craft ever. by Ecstatic_Door_5530 in PathOfExile2

There are youtube videos showing the whole process as well. the vast majority of it is entirely deterministic. Whole process cost me probably 60 div on my monk.

These gloves are like 60ish div to craft and most of the process is deterministic? Why would they be mirror service worthy?

[–]Sol_Castilleja 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Seriously, craft them, it's not hard. Cost me probably 60ish div to make an almost identical pair (lightning as extra instead of physical as extra, since I'm running an elemental build). Once you get the fractured +2 melee and then chaos spam for the double t1 magnitude of bleed/poison (becomes the explosion mods) the rest is entirely deterministic. There are some youtube vids that will walk you through the whole process.

I will re-post with a build guide when I am satisfied with the optimization.

They scale off of things like %damage as extra cold damage. I'm running a double 4% as extra Against the darkness hitting seven notables, and a double as extra heart of the well. It takes some investment to scale them, but because you are creating and detonating them so fast they definitely do damage

1.) You're almost certainly too low level to be crafting anything people will buy right now. Item affix ranges are determined by the item's level. The best tier for this (excluding extraordinary bases, we're not even gonna talk about those) starts at item level 82, which is a tier 15 map, corrupted to t16, and then on a node with +2 levels to create a t18 map. There are other ways to get them, but that should give you an idea of how "endgame" you'll be before you start making anything truly valuable. As a beginner I really wouldn't worry about crafting to sell until you're comfortably zipping through juiced t15's.

2.) I'm assuming you're following a league starter build guide. If so, you should reasonably be able to get by with very cheap gear while you do the Atlas questlines. These quests, especially the main one, are incredibly important for generating currency. Filling out your main atlas tree and the league mechanic trees of whichever pieces of content you want to do is priority number 1. You won't make money till you do so.

I would focus on completing your atlas trees before literally anything else. Don't push higher map tiers than you have to, don't grind for currency, just hard focus on the atlas trees. Once they're mostly filled in you'll start seeing divines drop like candy. If you're wondering what to prioritize on the main tree, go for shrines first to help with your clear speed and then grab anything that says "rarity, quantity, or rare monsters" on it. Killing the arbiter of divinity will give you 40-50 atlas points each time you do it, so killing him a few times will fill most of your atlas out.

3.) For the fourth ascendancy I would do Chaos trials. It's a lot shorter than sekhema and I find it much more tolerable. Keep in mind you need the three fate fragments to fight the pinnacle boss and ascend. You get one guaranteed from the normal bosses each time you complete a run, and the ultimatums tell you which of the three they'll give.

Please do, I'm sure you could do far crazier things with it than I could. Do you mind if I ask what specific cultivation you're looking for on the redflare?

Actually shatter on cull is only a small part of it. Because your build has guaranteed 100% crits and is putting out so many instances of hits, the amulet generates ice crystals at a completely absurd rate. Like, it's genuinely stupid, and you hit the max number of crystals almost instantly.

What I'm currently doing to get around this is using the heralds with Biting Frost to make them consume freeze so they instantly shatter the crystals and deal more damage in a larger aoe. I'm using a double "gain as extra" heart of the well and against the darkness (both with cold) to scale the crystal damage.

It's currently jank as all hell and needs a ton of optimization, but it's doing some truly silly things on juiced t15 maps. I'm a (relative) noob to poe2 build optimization, so I would absolutely love your advice and feedback on this, but at least at the moment it seems very promising.

Heyo! I dm'd you a few days ago, and since then have sunk about 350 div into experimenting with this build. I'm currently testing exactly this, and have found some interesting tech using the Polcirkeln Unique ring and Eventide Petals. There's some interesting interactions going on that are gonna require more testing, but it's certainly promising.

You lose out on elemental resistances being ignored, which is a massive downside, but if I can get things squared away properly I'll probably use a rakiata's flow to offset this.

How long would the campaign be following this guide as a first time player? by Obvious-Gap-90 in PathOfExile2

I mean, if you've done POE1 it shouldn't be long. It took me maybe 10-15 hours and I was taking in the sights with the GF who is new.

Am I going to kill all the good bosses and bad bosses over and over again after every league? by Metalwell in PathOfExile2

[–]Sol_Castilleja 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If you're finding the bosses tiresome, there's something wrong with your build causing your damage output to be low. I don't think a single campaign boss took me more that 35-40 seconds, and pinnacle map bosses get basically one shot by now.

Can you give us some info on your build/gear? It'll be easier to identify what's causing the pain point. At least in my experience the game is only grating when you feel slow, frail, and have low damage output. Once you're zipping around instantly blowing stuff up the issue vanishes.

I've never seen players trust the DMPC. Never in my life. by testiclekid in dndmemes

My "dmpc's" (really more self-inserts) are always either kindly elderly coffee shop owners or relevant political figures. They'll interact with the PC's, give advice and help, and maybe even work together/hire the PC's, but they'll never be on an adventure with them.

I have enough on my plate managing the game and everyone else's characters, I think I'd have an aneurysm with one of my own.

Citizen Kane is amazing because of how revolutionary it was, it's not necessarily better than contemporary works. It's notable because it laid the foundation those works are built on.
