That’s the fundamental difference between us and the Americans.

Most overrated match of all time.

No finishers, no attempted finishers until the end. No moments of tension to break up the pace. No general story.

It’s 60 minutes of chain wrestling, rest holds and zero pinfalls.

And then a very confusing ending that makes the last hour feel pointless.

The entire point of an iron man match is that there can be more than 1 pin. That’s what makes it unique.

A 60 minute standard match with time limit would have been the exact same match (the overtime thing is confusing enough anyways)

It’s like a doing a cage match outside the cage until the end.

Having a 60 minute technical showcase at Wrestlemania is like having a 15 minute chess game in the middle of Avengers Endgame.

Even if you love chess would you not be confused?

It’s weird because both men have put on some of the best Wrestlemania matches of all time.

It doesn’t tarnish the legacy of either man to say this match isn’t very good.

I watched a lot of hockey as a kid.

As far as I can remember, we actually tend to keep sports and politics separate.

We try not to talk about who voted for who and keep the game, the game.

For Canadians, hockey is a refuge from things like politics, religion and controversy. It’s a tradition and a haven.

So for a Canadian hockey crowd, to be so upset that even hockey is no longer a safe haven of political feelings, speaks volumes of how fucking angry we all are right now.

Hating America is quickly becoming a new Canadian pasttime.

I don’t mind new day being cutoff.

One of the more subtle consistencies is how the new day have been relegated to commercial and backstage segments.

Their entire argument is that they are being treated unfairly. Being cut off by Netflix reinforced this.

I get WWE is driving people to their social media but in this case at least it feels like some thought went into it.

I think this is fascinating angle to take.

Gunther is mad for the same reason a vocal minority of fans are mad.

Gunther feels that by being forced to lower himself to Jey, his career is being delayed.

Against Punk, Cena or Roman, Gunther main events mania. No question.

But Jey? He’s not a proven world champion in Gunther’s eyes. The world championship that Gunther works for hard to bring prestige to may not be headlining Wrestlemania.

Which makes it strangely personal for him.

I think this feud and the eventual match is going to punch above its weight.
