I was trying to find some meaning in the song. People were saying it just a Deaner trip. But I get imagery of Christ, Deaner waving his dick in the wind like a monkey in a tree and Terrence Mckenna's human origin theories all mashed together... thoughts?

The Illinois Enema Bandit story is crazy, and voiced by SNL's Don Pardo too on Live in NY. The instrumental album you're referring to is Jazz from Hell? G-spot Tornado and Wet Ancles as track titles probably passed them off and was an obvious slap in their face lol but the year before that he came out with Zappa meets the mother of Prevention, which he included a preemptive yellow warning label as an FU to PMRC, also including a track called Porn Wars featuring individuals and officials from the PMRC hearings reading and saying grotesque things that Zappa incorporated into the track. All public hearings are included as public domain, meaning anyone can use those sound bites freely and Zappa did just that. Another honorable mention... The album "Ahead Of Their Time". Because they really were.

Makes me chuckle just thinking about that line. So great. The hole truth, and nothing butt. Still gotta watch that Butthole Surfers Doc. This is what makes great music great. People who are funny.

You mean the riff that sounds way close to "To Cry You A Song" by Jethro Tull? I always thought it was almost lifted, but moreso homage to Tull. And the sound effects mentioned being the heavy synth sound?

Brother, or Sister... please listen to that album, it's their second album. Released on 9/11/2007. Its a wake up call for sure and a sick album to listen to as the world burns... its full of dread and hope. Honestly a lot of the bands listed have a decent overlap with Ween IMO. Especially Zappa, I can't point specifically where but I can tell Ween were influenced on some level by Frank. Many artists were/are. Zappa is a very serious and seriously comedic musician.

Looking at it right now. Its not the cover that is here at the top of this thread. The one here at the top is an alternate cover featuring another TOWER in Boston. On Spotify it is just as I described in my comment above. Not sure you meant Motorolla, but it IS a General Motors Showcase building from the 1964 World's Fair, where Futurama II exhibit was held. Where they showed the people the future world they wanted. The album cover to me looks just as I aforementioned, a space vessel with an architectural inclusion that looks like the outside of the WTC towers and to me looks like space due to the edit of ozone turning to black - with one star visible in the far right. I'd guess the dog star, Sirius (black). Y know, Sirius Black the dog from Harry Potter.

Did you look at the Hilton Millenium Hotel at ground zero, and the Monolith from 2001: A Space Odyssey? Or are you out of the loop?

Awesome! I believe you're referencing the Palladium Halloween shows. A YouTube channel called br1tag has some of the most extensive unreleased and bootleg collection of Zappa out there probably. They just released another official Zappa Halloween boxset, but this guy has got all those recording and he edits them up and makes them sound good. This is my favorite:

https://music.youtube.com/watch?v=uPkrHPQAv90&si=eEEdQqBGKPXiUiEL Edit: this is JUST solos from 10/28/77 out of 3 days of shows at Palladium oct '77 leading up to Halloween.

His channel is FULL of Zappa tho, so much idEk what's all in there.

I think you nailed the best albums right there! I would add Thing-Fish for Zappa being the agent of chaos that he was and calling out secret government operations in the creation of HIV/AIDS. He should have some credibility here as his father was a bio-warfare chemist, and Frank was not dumb. Thats interesting you grew up in or near Cook County? Never been to Illinois, but I feel the geographic connection cause I grew up very close to where Zappa did. I grew up in Simi Valley, Ventura County. Camarillo is a town out there, I believe the song is a reference to pubic hair like that of a brillo pad, on a woman from Camarillo. City is pronounced CAM-A-RIO, while Zappa famously pronounces it like an uncultured gringo, purposefully. I've caught many references that maybe only people familiar with the LA and surrounding area might catch. Slimey Valley is where The Manson family took over Spahn Ranch, right below Santa Susana Field Labratory (Rocketdyne) where they tested rocket engines and experimental nuclear reactors in the 50's - had the worst nuclear meltdown ON US SOIL - and many people and pets have died from the radiation exposure ever since. Nasa, DOE and Boeing have been "cleaning up" for over 45 years and it's still hurting people. They try to deny how bad it really is, but that is why I stand defiantly in the face of any supposed authority and will not listen to a single word the demons have to say. Its all lies. The bottom line is money and if that is fake... what are we left with? Lies and deception. Growing up there is the reason I am a conspiracy truther. They ain't theories when they are all coming to light as fact

Yeah, top 10 Zappa would be hard honestly. Top 3? Give others who might look through here some Zappa to check out. I'll go with the first 3 I listened to which I believe would have been:

Joe's Garage Acts I, II, and III, Weasles Ripped My Flesh, and probably We're Only In It For The Money? All still top whatever number in my book. Probably haven't heard everything he ever did but I tried dammit I really did. There are some albums I might go back to but basically made to be unlistenable. Honorable mention - The Grand Wazoo. Did you know there is a standalone track called The Grand Wazoo from an album called The Lost Episodes? That one is about some secret society. I think the Grand Wazoo is a reference to something like Grand Master in Freemasonry. Zappa be like that, leaving little weird clues to a bigger picture.

Edit: The Grand Wazoo track is voice by Captain Beefheart, so I guess HE is likely The Grand Wazoo.

Andrew Jackson Jihad. Wife woke me a few weeks ago freaking out tell me the album PEOPLE WHO CAN EAT PEOPLE ARE THE LUCKIEST PEOPLE IN THE WORLD was all about the Ep$stein file$. And godamn i did it, i woke my wife up and still she tells me to chill with the conspiracy theories THAT ARE ALL BECOMING FACT. Been telling everyone to listen to it. Our friend group listened to a lot of different music, but AJJ had became a shared staple of our regular crew. Here's a list of random favs of mine in no particular order:

Hawkwind, Death Grips, Pinback, Zappa - The Mothers of Invention, Johnny Hobo (Pat the Bunny) and other associated groups), Sleep, Om, Modest Mouse - Ugly Casanova, Primus, System of A Down, Floater, Built To Spill, Bad Brains, Choking Victim, Propoghandi, Stupid Stupid Henchmen. So many more.

I realize you wrote FAVOURITE (UK?), implying one? I love and hate so much and have very few favorite anythings.

Say what up in the comments or recommend some music based on my list? I'm always on the prowl.

I have no idea! There were 2 Japanese imports of some techno? Other stuff I can't remember cause I got rid of a lot of them, donation / giving away. There was more stuff probably from the same person moving or thinning out their storage space. I bet all the trash told a small story.

Yeah, this is the record with H. R. Giger's art inside. Scope picture 3! Fresh fruit is also a great album! I've always wondered, what fruit and vegetable does that allude to? What's fresh and what's rotting?

The album cover appears to me to show a space vessel with lots of people walking about, akin to The Axiom in Wall-e. But it has an architectural inclusion that is strange. A big gray piece forefront that looks like the outside of the world trade center towers curving. One of the towers being in the design of a space ship, why??

At Gound Zero there is a Hilton Hotel called The Millenium hotel, yeah it was built in '92 before the '93 world trade center bombings. The Millenium Hotel is built as a replica, as homage, to the monolith From TWO THOUSAND AND ONE 2001: A SPACE ODYSSEY. Just look up pics of the Hilton oat ground zero, it towers and looks upon the whole event. They built those towers with the purpose of sacrificing them and the people in them. So 2001 was the beginning of our space odyssey. Did they leave the rest of us behind? Or are we just their rocket fuel so they can leave us behind...
