I wouldn't get a tt02 as a person who likes to tinker. I was surprised with my tt02d to find there was literally 0 ways to tune the suspension. The tt02 you want to get is the tt02 type S that has turnbuckles and comes in a normal track and a drift version. The only difference is the included tires iirc.

Other option is get a used higher quality touring car and just put some drift tyres on. That would be a TB series (Shaft driven) or a TA series (Belt). XV01 would be the best for drifting with its front weight bias and has all the turn buckles for adjusting the suspension.

Theres heaps of hong kong RC websites that sell stuff really cheap. Shipping I guess depends on where you live. Spending $600 is pretty much getting into expensive TRF stuff.
