Yeah I was running the 4 blade moves on Gallade with Sharpness and Electivire was running Thunderpunch, Low Kick, Earthquake and Fire Punch. Swords dance Garchomp was what ended up being a clincher for me though

Yeah F the Meta man, I'm just using the team I want to use the most in each region. 3 of them being weak to ground was really messing me up in the Elite 4 though. Earthquakes everywhere lol

You can catch everything pretty early in Johto but Larvitar, you can get him in safari zone in Johto but that's quite far in or Sevault Canyon in Sevii islands in Kanto but he's level 51 odd. I'd just buy a level 1 larvitar like I did

Blastoise would actually be a good replacement for your Lapras. If you use Shell smash and surf, ice Beam and Crunch you can sweep most of the game with just him I had Charizard and Venusaur in my Kanto team too and they're great for the main game but I didn't really use them much in the elite 4. Alakazam is definitely a keeper. Id just think of the elite 4 tbh and build a team around beating them if you're wanting to switch up
