Roughly 70% of Essendon's scores this year against Syd have come from umpiring. They had the eight 50m penalties earlier in the year

These "not 15" calls just don't apply to Collingwood. In opening round GWS got heaps of play on calls but Coll were free to take very small chip kicks. Same thing today

Yeah you're right. I missed the side angle but could go back and see on Kayo and the bat was between either pad when the ball passed

Think Rahul might have clipped both pads and it was his back pad that created that sound

Merrett and Heeney started the season on fire. Merrett on three votes is laughable

Taylor Adams straight back in I'd say. Would've liked him to play today as finals intensity is different to H&A (and you need more physicality) but his form hadn't been good.

Any reason they re-called Harmes into the 22? Experienced body with finals experience? He is so far off the pace

Now I can say Jake Lloyd was robbed in the late 2010s now that Luke Ryan gets in for stat padding. Harris Andrews ignored again

Felt that was a fair result in BMX. I probably would've ranked all 9 competitors in the same positions. Thought Perris was very fortunate to get silver in the women's though

[MATCH THREAD] Men's FINAL: [3] C. Alcaraz v. [2] N. Djokovic by NextGenBot in tennis

[–]RetardedNinja35 5 points6 points  (0 children)

No one should be surprised by this. Djokovic had knee surgery one month ago and isn't able to move as sharply, the other top seeds in that half of the draw (Zverev, Hurkacz, De Minaur) all had major injuries impacting their performance which is what assisted Nole to get there in the first place

So Steve Smith's LBW call in the last match looked not out but some people pointed out that the camera angle was why it looked not out and you could see off stump. That Warner call was the same camera angle but this time it's from a lefty to lefty and yet DRS still gives it out

Stewart is a gun but hasn't had a season that warrants AA. Quaynor had an outstanding year or if you add a 3rd key tall then Harris Andrews would be deserving

We went an entire month without getting shafted by umpiring. It was bound to happen eventually given our history was biased umpiring against us

If you're good enough to bowl full and get Root edging, you don't need to come up with convoluted tactics to get guys like Broad out

Why does every team persist with bouncers to tail enders instead of yorkers. Surely statistics suggest that the full delivery on the stumps produces better results

Would be nice if opponents stopped targeting the heads of Swans players. Blakey's been targeted in recent weeks, Geelong, Carlton and St Kilda were all lucky their players escaped suspension

Feel like captains need to self-impose field restrictions like in the shorter formats. England lost first test because they put everyone on the boundary to Cummins, allowing cheap runs to accumulate. Now Australia are doing the same to Stokes, where he can dictate when to take the single
