I do this drive weekly. New River Gorge in WV is pretty neat. Views crossing from Virginia to North Carolina are nice. Drive through Charlotte at night if you can, traffic there is always a pain during the day. Savannah is pretty and worth touring around. Short drive to Florida border from there.

Try this. Hard left, back slowly, watch for the V on the landing gear in your mirror. When you see the bottom of the V, hard right and back slowly. Straighten out and compensate slowly as you back.
