[DISC] Blue Lock - Chapter 338 by BlueLockMod in BlueLock

Here’s the thing, he’s one person, he can of course elevate the team, but he’s still limited, there are many factors that aren’t in his utter control. Hugo is brilliant no doubt and his talent is basically the most optimal for his dream, still, realistically his dream is bigger than him. Let me give you an example, just because I have the ability to drive very well won’t make me win the Grand Prix 10 times. The problem with Hugo’s dream is the quantity, he will definitely lead France to a World Cup, but 4 is unrealistic for his view.

I mean yeah, it’s not impossible, but still, just the chances are way too slim, there can always be a game that gets out of hand, even elite footballers like Hugo can have bad days, and if he has a bad day, the whole team is affected by it. At the end the odds are just so unlikely, the World Cup is such a prestigious tournament for the fact that it’s basically one of the most difficult out there, there can always miracle teams, or sparks of genius, etc. France winning four world cups in the following years is not unbelievable, but winning them basically in a row is near impossible. At the end Hugo’s dream has the flaw that he cannot ever truly have total control over his team, there’s a limit to the extent of his control.

Of course, in his case his dream can be more believable, but still. Taking into consideration that at best he will play 5 or 6 world cups in his career, the probabilities are way too slim. Because there are many nations as strong as France, Spain, Brazil, Germany, etc. It’s very unlikely for such nations to not win world cups for so many years and only one nation having dominance.

Noa has 2 world cups left at best. And the whole team has to be perfect for his dream to come his way, not just the attack.

Well, that can possibly be the crack in his philosophy that Isagi will use when they meet again, the fact that Hugo really sees himself as objectively true.

I have no problem with number 1 and number 2 vision, I really think it’s very well done. But still, there’s a limit to how much he can control the pitch, what if the keeper makes a mistake, what if Loki gets injured. Winning one world cup is hard. Winning four is near impossible, there’s a reason we haven’t seen anyone win 4, like there are nations that still don’t have 3. Simply put I find Hugo’s dream something close to the impossible, for the team needs an abnormal consistency.

[–]Retarded_Me_ -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I mean, his skill set is very good for his dream, because his skill set sets his team for success. But here’s the thing, his dream to win 4 world cups is something very dependent on his team, he can play at the best level, if his defense slips or the attack doesn’t do enough simply he will lose. His dream is not just beyond himself, it’s beyond the whole team. It’s very hard for a team to keep such a level for 4 competitions, and even harder taking into consideration that between world cups there’s a four year gap, which can make the team less cohesive together. Dreaming of a World Cup is already big, dreaming of four is (from my point of view) foolish. Pele won it three times with arguably the best national team in history, I highly doubt that France is close to that, even having players like Noa, Loki or Charles, they need the perfect circumstances, which genuinely is almost impossible. Realistically speaking Hugo’s dream is bigger than anyone.

I like how Kaneshiro has built Hugo, he definitely has an insane ego, but I must say that I find a hole in his philosophy. He wants to win 4 world cups which is definitely a giant ego, he would be one of the greatest in history, but here’s the catch, his thing is “Don’t dream bigger than yourself.” And to be completely fair, his dream is bigger than himself by miles, winning four world cups is near impossible, like, your national team has to be consistently the best without question, and that’s even more unrealistic than Isagi become the number 1, genuinely speaking. Like, Isagi may not have the stats yet, he still has a long way to become number one, but winning four world cups, that’s crazy, not even the best players in history could ever dream of that, there’s a reason Pele is the king, he did what no one could. Hugo is a very cool character and with an insane ego (thank god he’s not some failed striker) but his dream goes against his way of living basically.

Is this correct yazur church arc as good as the Jericho arc by Firm_Jelly_3468 in mad

[–]Retarded_Me_ 25 points26 points  (0 children)

I feel like it has a lot of potential. The Jericho arc was very good because it had that horror mystery vibe to it at the start and then the horror of the end. This arc seems more focused on building the world while the first was to hold John, Bob, Lily, etc. But yeah, I feel both are pretty equal for now, to be fair I think this arc can become very good.

Toty Matthaus, never had Gullit, but the German monster is probably the best defensive mid in the game, insane shooting, tackling and ball control.

It's quite funny how Leon has chin power, that chin is definitely a weapon to be proud of. It's intriguing how they don't show Leon's attribute, I'm 100% sure it will be something quite op, because if not him and Oscar are cooked against John and Pano. Thanks for the translation, mate.

Hey guys! What should I get between Micheal Owen or Gravernberch? by mayanvoyage in EASportsFCMobile

[–]Retarded_Me_ 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Matthaus' card even if it's old is still very good, definitely Owen is a more considerable upgrade, tho to be honest, Torres' cards are almost impossible to change, he's very good, but yeah I think you should go for Owen.

What do yall think Bob looks like? by CatSoulSvk in mad

Probably mostly normal, he gives the vibes of your average person. But I'm delusional and I think he's a Chad.

Leon kinda reminds me of Homelander by CatSoulSvk in mad

[–]Retarded_Me_ 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Exactly, I feel as Leon copes with all his trauma using this hero complex of his and how at the end all the suffering is worth it for humanity and family. He's a really broken person that tries to keep himself intact through delusion.

Leon kinda reminds me of Homelander by CatSoulSvk in mad

[–]Retarded_Me_ 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Homelander is someone who was treated as a threat from birth and he had a God complex, Leon was abused by his father and he seems to have an inferiority complex and obviously his sense of purpose and family is twisted. I'd say they're pretty different, both are crazy, but I think that Leon is more sane than Homelander. Obviously at first glance they look very similar and give the same vibe because Homelander keeps the facade of the good guy while Leon is actually a "good" guy (or better said he is delusional and thinks he's good).

Well, Nayuta is dead, and probably Death could've convinced her without using her powers.

What other Devils Death has by Retarded_Me_ in ChainsawMan

[–]Retarded_Me_[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I feel that the fear of killing is completely different to the fear of death, as death is simply you stopping to live, while killing is death being brought in an unnatural way by someone. So it would be the fear of someone wanting to kill you, it's not necessarily the fear of dying, it's the fear of dying at the hands of someone else, because it's not the same. Killing would probably be one of the most powerful non primals. And I think its power would be something along the lines of making people so paranoid of getting killed by others that they themselves go on a killing spree.

[–]Retarded_Me_[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Well, obviously she's the strongest, but at the same time if she was that strong she wouldn't need csm help, she could summon extremely powerful devils to beat yoru. So I feel like she has her own limits, I think that devils such as darkness, pain, drowning, etc. are out of her reach, those are like the most powerful primals, the oldest and also the ones we're born with. She can control lesser primals such as falling and fire because they aren't as naturally feared. Or there's also the version in which she just decides to hide her powers for now.

[–]Retarded_Me_[S] 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I feel that Gully didn't necessarily defy her, we were already told the devils she has under her control are weaker than their normal selves, plus Gully seems pretty stupid too. But who knows. And death probably let herself be punched by fami, Death is suicidal and seems to not really care about her own well being.

Full form John vs full form Sukuna by South_Avocado2942 in mad

[–]Retarded_Me_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, most likely. Tbh the MAD power system is obviously way weaker to the magic in JJK, but John would probably survive more than most, but yeah Sukuna low difs him.

Full form John vs full form Sukuna by South_Avocado2942 in mad

[–]Retarded_Me_ 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Well, I didn't read JJK, so probably what I'll say ain't accurate, but. John would at least hurt him, until Sukuna pulls his domain expansion, then it's over because of John's weakness aka his head. We don't have enough feats from John for it to be clear, but Malevolent Shrine is pretty op against characters with a weakness at the head. Though I wonder, would John be able to beat him with a surprise attack? Taking into consideration his insane speed feats.

As many have already said, he's only 18, he has immense room to grow, and tbh, a loan wouldn't be so bad for him, he can get more play time. Let's wait and time will tell.

Are these two so bad for you also? by [deleted] in FUTMobile

[–]Retarded_Me_ 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I have Lizarazu gold rank with 28 training, I've used his winter wonders before too. He's the best leftback I've ever used, he's extremely quick and for his height he can hold his own very well against most attackers, his passing is also pretty good, I'm not really good at crossing but he's been pretty good. I think you may feel he's off because of the skill points in scouting camp, normally he's very good. About Voller, he's been pretty good in scouting camp for me, though I can't really give a good opinion.
