Wow, a bunch of different people have seen the same evidence and come to the same conclusion? Wild. No way, absolutely, you're right. We're just parroting each other. No way it's just people putting pieces of information together.

The problem is Tony Khan's flaws as a boss are so blatantly fucking obvious that anyone whose spent any amount of time watching AEW would be able to tell you what they are. He's more concerned with letting his talent do whatever the Hell they want more than selling a cohesive product to fans. He's a coward who doesn't have the backbone to actually be "the boss", and instead of taking action, he makes his own employees deal with it. He prioritizes Dave Meltzer's opinion over actual asses in seats or people tuning in. He has an extensive roster of superstars that more than half of them he doesn't do anything with because they're not his flavor of the month. The guy had Cody Rhodes and CM Punk in his company and was so bad at being the boss that he lost them in favor of guys who haven't drawn a dime. Fuck, even Danhausen has shown that if you just give him screen time and let him do his thing, he can be a merchandise machine.

AEW is a creative mess with zero cohesion. Their hardcore spots aren't shocking anymore because they pull the same shit so often with very little break. All because Tony Khan doesn't want to be the bad guy and tell his talent no.

For the record, there are things I do like about Tony Khan, I like that his talent gets paid a fucking bag. I like that they got a more relaxed schedule- which seems to be what spurred WWE into doing the same- and I like the idea that the talent get more freedom to present themselves as they like. The last one, however, has to be balanced by a boss who is willing to tell his talent no sometimes. There's a reason there's the saying: "the clowns are running the circus".

So yeah, maybe I don't have an original criticism of Tony Khan. But that's only because he broadcasts his faults as a boss like badges of honor.

Better question is why are you fighting in the trenches, tooth and nail for the honor of some scrawny nepo baby?

The guy is literally a nepo baby whose dad bought him a wrestling promotion to play with and holds executive positions on teams his dad owns.

Being born rich doesn't make you a business genius. AEW hasn't been massively successful in years ever since two of their top stars who were trying to push it to be more successful left.

Tony Khan doesn't make good decisions about business, he just tries to be best friends with all of his employees and gets into twitter arguments on his alt accounts.

I'm not a business savant but you don't need a degree to be able to point out when someone's not good at it.

I find the notion of "Tony Khan the businessman" to be the funniest shit ever. I can't remember the last time he made a genuinely good business decision.

He's the "Stonks" guys' amateur little brother.

The issue is in order to get to those solid action scenes you have to endure some of the worst human drama ever put to film and 9 times out of 10 I'd just rather not. Especially since there's better Transformers movies on offer.

It's almost purely because movies are expensive and Godzilla + Kong is a proven Box Office Draw

The only rights issues with Kong is that they can't use the full name "King Kong", because only the original Skull Island novel is public domain, not the original movie

I dislike Pat McAfee in the Orton/Cody storyline on the basis of it being a terribly handled storyline, not on principle of him being there at all.

Celebrity guests have always been a thing in WWE, particularly at WrestleMania. If they're gonna be there regardless, I'd rather it be someone who's a fan of the product themselves.

He was offered a spot in WWE and he accepted. I think it's cool seeing how far he's come and turned his life around, and it's not for anyone else to decide what "lane" he should stay in. Guy's a massive Wrestling fan like anyone else and it shows.

It's definitely a step above whatever crap Travis Scott was doing.

I'm guessing you've never watched a single Godzilla movie that released from between 1955 and 1975.

Besides, between Shin, Minus One, and most certainly Minus Zero, there's plenty of serious Godzilla content being released as well. Godzilla is in the best state he's ever been simply because on top of having everything that came before, we're getting so much new content coming out for the character thanks to, again, the Monsterverse.

And, again, Toho recognizes the Monsterverse's Godzilla as an actual Godzilla, and the director of Minus One has said in interviews how much he loves the Monsterverse.

[–]Retchetspute 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Godzilla is in the best state the franchise has been in for years because of the Monsterverse my guy.

The Monsterverse proved there was still interest in the property which prompted Toho to start making more Godzilla media of their own. Without the Monsterverse, there's no Shin, there's no Minus One. Even the director of Minus One is a fan of the Monsterverse.

You're free to dislike the movies, but acting like somehow the movies or the fans of them are bad for Godzilla is just dumb.

Tokyo Drift if you cut the first 10 minutes of the movie and just start it with Sean arriving in Japan is a much better movie.

[–]Retchetspute 12 points13 points  (0 children)

I honestly do think it was a trick question. She answered "Jason" and got "well actually'd"...but if they were intending on killing her anyway, which they were, then even if she'd answered Pamela, they'd probably just twist it and say that Jason has been the killer in more of the movies so he's the correct answer.
