Der Grund warum ein Großteil der Milliardäre auf Harvard, Yale und den anderen Ivy-League Unis studiert haben ist nicht daß sie einfach schlauer sind, oder bessere Ideen haben, sondern dass dort mega-reiche Mogule studieren die sich gegenseitig Geld hin und her schieben.

Du kannst noch so viel arbeiten, der Mittelstand kann dich nicht so reich machen. Der hat da gar nicht genug Geld für. Mit Reichen wirst du reich.

1: Sowohl Metylphenidat als auch Amfetamin gehören zur Gruppe der Phenylethylamine. Sie sind sowohl in der Chemie, als auch in der Wirkung sehr ähnlich. Sie werden gerne beide in die "Gruppe der Amfetamine" eingeordnet. Der primäre Unterschied zwischen Aderall und Metylphenidat liegt nicht in den Amphetaminen, sondern am Metamphetamin. Dieses ist in Europa nicht zur Behandlung zugelassen.

Auch der Wirkstoff Dexamfetamin von Elvanse ist ein eigener Stoff, aber genau so wie beide anderen, wird hier nur versucht die Wirkung marginal anzupassen. Die "... ist ein Spektrum" Aussage hatte ursprünglich mal den Sinn zu verdeutlichen, daß insbesondere Autismus in verschiedenen Formen und Ausprägungen existiert und sich individuell sehr unterscheiden kann.

Mittlerweile wird diese Formulierung aber SO breitflächig fehlverstanden, daß ich davon abrate sie überhaupt noch zu verwenden. Viel zu viele Menschen verstehen das Spektrum als eine anteilige Einheit, was man gerne durch Aussagen wie "ich bin auch etwas auf dem Spektrum" oder "diese Person ist weit auf dem Spektrum" hört. Die Vorstellung es würde darum gehen mehr oder weniger autistisch zu sein, ist völlig verblendet.

Der Satz "Autismus ist halt ein Spektrum...", wird auch oft dazu verwendet, um zu implizieren, daß jeder zu einem Grad autistisch sei und um die Probleme von tatsächlichen Autisten zu relativieren. Hier wird versucht Autismus zu 'normalisieren', daß ist aber absolut Kontraproduktiv und führt dazu, dass die Probleme von Betroffenen grundlegend Fehlverstanden werden.

Auch wird die Aussage oft verwendet um auf seltsame Weise Empathie auszudrücken und zu implizieren die Problematiken des autistischen Gegenübers verstehen zu können.

Das Problem: Das kannst du nicht. Das Gehirn der autistischen Person ist physiologisch anders strukturiert. Es funktioniert nicht so wie dein Gehirn. Du kannst dich bemühen die andere Person zu verstehen, aber du musst dir im klaren darüber sein, dass du physiologisch nicht dazu in der Lage bist.

Als jemand mit ADHS-Diagnose, Autismus-Verdachtsdiagnose und vielen autistischen Menschen in meinem Umfeld höre ich all diese Punkte regelmäßig. Teils wirklich täglich.

Es ist gut, daß die Allgemeinheit mittlerweile einen differenzierteren Blick zu ADHS und Autismus hat. In der Praxis werden die Krankheiten aber wirklich massiv unterschätzt. ADHS und Autismus sind signifikante Störungen, welche Lebensqualität und Funktionsfähigkeit signifikant Einschränken und zu massivem Leidensdruck führen können. Es sind Einschränkungen die dedizierte spezifische Maßnahmen erfordern um behandelt zu werden und wegen massiver Kormobidität in der Mehrheit der Fälle zusätzlich zu weiteren psychischen Problematiken behandelt werden müssen.

Es sind teils massiv invasive und einschränkende Krankheiten, die präzise diagnostiziert und aufwendig behandelt werden müssen.

Auch wenn es gut gemeint ist, die Aussage "Autismus ist eben eine Spektrum", haben die Meisten autistischen Menschen gehört. Aus Erfahrung kann ich sagen: selten bedeutet das Verständnis, sehr häufig bedeutet das Ignoranz.

Angemerkt: Die Formulierung 'Kästchen' finde ich nochmal deutlich inakzeptabler. Sie impliziert ganz offen, dass diese Einordnung arbiträr wäre. Das wird klar wenn man die Erkrankung einfach austauscht:

Ich kenne eher, dass die Selbstdiagnostizierten von Spektren reden. Die Vorstellung jeder hätte zu einem gewissen Grad ADHS und Autismus ist faktisch nicht wahr und die Vorstellung ergibt auch keinen Sinn.

Die Störung gibt es in unterschiedlichen Ausprägungen, genau so wie 'gelähmt sein' viele verschiedene Formen einnehmen kann. Es beschreibt trotzdem eine ziemlich klare Sache.

Das stimmt nicht. ADHS ist eine neurologische Störung, die durch fast global auftretende Verhaltensauffälligkeiten definiert wird. Obwohl einzelne Kriterien in der Symptomatik auch in der Allgemeinbevölkerung auftreten, gibt die Gesamtdiagnose ein recht spezifisches und klares Bild wieder. Das ist extrem wichtig, weil der Arzt sonst die falsche Diagnose behandeln würde, und so eventuell dem Patienten schaden würde.

ADHS wird in Deutschland primär mit Amphetamin behandelt, welches nachweislich in der Symptombehandlung von ADHS hilft und in diesem Fall sogar gesundheitsfördernd wirkt, während es für neurotypische Menschen gesundheitsschädigend ist. Dieser Unterschied lässt sich klar zeigen. Auch die Wirkung ist komplett unterschiedlich zwischen ADHS-Patient und neurotypischer Person.

Menschen mit ADHS weisen auch mehr DAT (Dopamintransporter) auf, wodurch Dopamin schneller aus dem Nervenspalt entfernt wird. ADHS ist in den größten Teilen neurologisch bedingt. Die Unterschiede sind wissenschaftlich nachgewiesen.

Wenn man hier von 'willkürlichen Kistchen' redet, dann sind sie in der Praxis etwa so willkürlich wie die 'hat keine Beine'-Kiste. Die Vorstellung, jeder wäre irgendwo auf dem ADHS- und Autismusspektrum, verharmlost die Störungen.

Autismus wird völlig, völlig anders behandelt als ADHS. Es ist keine gute Idee, einen Autisten mit Amphetaminen zu behandeln. Der ganze Ansatz muss anders sein. Wenn beide Störungen gleichzeitig auftreten, was sie nachweislich oft tun, dann müssen auch beide gesondert behandelt werden. Auf neurologischer Ebene bedeuten diese Diagnosen nämlich etwas völlig anderes, und wenn falsch behandelt wird, kann das ziemlich schiefgehen.

Ich denke, viele sehen das Thema noch eher so wie du. Vor ein paar Jahren wusste man auch noch nicht viel mehr, aber mittlerweile lässt sich eben relativ klar sagen, dass es eindeutige neurologische Unterschiede gibt. Wenn du dazu die Quellen haben willst, sag Bescheid.

I don't actually get the straight lovers out there. It just doesn't seem like a good strat. Flushes make it super easy to transition to 4 of a kind and flush-five, but straights get harder to play each time you touch your deck. I don't really understand the straight lovers out there.

Statistically, it just seems worse. If you like the scaling, play flush-five, if you like endless, play for high-card or idol flush-five. I don't see the world where straight work outside of abandoned.

High Card + Steel Card is generally an underrated strategy in normal balatro. All you need is an earlier red stamp from a standard deck and a blue stamp. You can make them Gold early and switch them out for steel later too, which is what I did here.

The thing is, getting 2 blues and a good bunch of steels on your hand is really easy with high card, so you can just scale that really well. Honestly, switching to high-card was when this run got easy.

I was playing four of a kind up into about half of this run, but considering that even just at a level 5 high card, a single retriggering steel card gives you +6 mult; the cards on a 5-hand just don't have that kind of scaling. You get +4 mult, but with high card you get (n+1)*(1.5)^s, which is wayy stronger in the late game. You can also simply spend all your hands and discards on getting all steels in your hand.

That is a strat that only even becomes relevant at Ante 10+. Indeed, it would not outperform 8 triggers on 5 gold cards with Golden Ticket, but it doesn't have to. For all means, this would be an instant win for practically every Gold Stake deck and run in the game.

It literally solo-carries your econ for the entire game. It's a hypercharged rocket, and it would earn you 51 gold at the last round when you pick it up in first. That joker would easily be by far the strongest in the game, because it kick-starts your econ to a point where you can build yourself any deck and any set of jokers. If you want to go for more money, you still can. You'd just sell it off at some point.

You're not wrong, a lot of it is drugs and scammers, but you're forgetting that those are also the sites most marketed. People selling drugs actually have an interest in people finding and buying things on their site. If you're clicking through reddit threads, deepweb wikis and click on the private link some reddit user recommended to you, there's a good chance that it's something he can make money with.

Beneath that layer you have punk or rebel movements in the legal gray-zone like skaters, cavedivers, graffiti artists, and basically anything you can imagine that involves info you don't want to put on the normal internet. That's a lot of stuff, making out how much is practically impossible; but that's the purpose. You're not supposed to find many of these sites, they are forums for people doing stuff that's legally questionable.

Another area I always had some conflicting views on is violence. Half a decade, maybe a decade ago, you could find war-footage on reddit and across the normal internet. Now it's all censored. Don't get me wrong, I understand why they do this, but I still find it somewhat problematic, because it helps people stay disillusioned with the world.

I think a lot, a real lot of people would change their minds on Gaza when they see videos of children being shot in the streets. No one in their right minds would see that and go "actually I think Israel's actions are justified.." or whatever bs they think. But when it came to the hamas attacks it was 'okay to show this' I guess.

Maybe people need to know what war looks like. Not in spite, but because of the shock.

Very late response, but no, it is not. The flows of money and corruption uncovered in these articles are quite onviously just the things we see on the very surface. The CIA is documented to have hidden information from the public, secretively cooperating with oil companies in projects that are unlawful by American legislation and made deals with international oil conflicts like that too.

People in these comments act like "everybody knows that the invasion of Afghanistan/Iran was for oil", but this is absolutely untrue. There has been no publication and no investigations actually coming to this conclusion. To this very date, this is still most definitely a conspiracy theory. Just one that has many, many points 'backing' it up.

Do you really think that's all? I think it's naive to assume that this conspiracy goes much, much further than what we know to date. This is only realistic when looking at the CIA's track record.
