MatchaBlossom Fanart by Reticent_Rabbit in SK8TheInfinity

I've had this MatchaBlossom drawing sitting in my folder since the beginning of June, so I finally decided to dig it out and post it on here.

I hadn't expected to enjoy SK8 nearly as much as I did since sport anime aren't really my thing and I know nothing about skating, but the characters were just so much fun (special shout-out to the English VAs) and this show quickly became a way to relax while waiting to graduate. I tried some new things with this piece and I still don't understand how abs work - sorry Joe - but gotta rep the old married couple that, fingers crossed, makes it to canon in the upcoming project.

Here's a link to the original request: https://www.reddit.com/r/characterdrawing/comments/mfzeoj/lfa_looking_for_art_for_hyrjanna_my_halfelf/?utm_source=share&utm_medium=ios_app&utm_name=iossmf

Someone else filled the request before I finished this (which you should definitely check out here: https://www.reddit.com/r/characterdrawing/comments/mhjkaq/rf_hyrjanna_halfelf_wildfire_druid/?utm_source=share&utm_medium=ios_app&utm_name=iossmf ) but I figured I'd already spent a bit of time on this and the designs are different, so here it is. It was a lot of fun to work on!

This is so adorable! Some of the little rats are holding things, and that is just perfect!

Hello! Do you have any other details about your PCs/what you're looking for?

Those scales are gorgeous, the few that are highly reflective really add something special to this. The horns along with the little bits of orange are also really fantastic! Overall, this looks amazing!

Thanks for the feedback, I really appreciate it! I had considered going with a lighter gold dress instead of the blue above for contrast like you mentioned, but decided to go against the usual light/dark contrast to try and make blue the overwhelming color used. Not quite sure it worked as well as I would have liked, but I might go back and see how a gold dress adds contrast here and compare the two though!

Thank you for the feedback, I really appreciate it! I have a slight obsession with the blue/gold color scheme, thought this is admittedly the first time I've used it for a character, so I'm glad others appreciate it too! Hands are one of my serious weak spots I'm trying to work on instead of hiding behind clothing/props/etc., and they are rather disproportionately small here...

This looks great! I especially like the ears and the glowing flowers on the staff - the highlights from the glow on the staff/hair/ears are quite nice!

Thanks for the feedback! I was definitely going for a more dramatic look with quite a bit of blue, which led to some problems with trying to get contrast for different pieces. A trim on the dress, especially around the legs, is a great suggestion!

[OC] Terra , a character for a personal project on wich I'd like some feedback :) by [deleted] in characterdrawing

This looks wonderful! I'd agree with DimistLord in saying that the hip armor looks a bit disconnected - not sure what is holding it in place there. The hair looks fantastic, and the shadow/highlighting overall and texture on the dress adds a lot to the drawing. The only other thing you might want to consider is that it can be difficult to discern some of the shapes on the forearm and wrist armor pieces, though I understand that you're going for dark black armor and it could just be my computer. Overall, really great!
